Renamed to Expositing The Masquerade. Removing because it lacks context and looks like misuse.

* WeHaveBeenResearchingPhlebotinumForYears: NAHOR has known about Triggers and angels for years- and has been locking them up.

TERAH: New Way is a UrbanFantasy video game by Project LETO that places players in the shoes of Gloria Cornix, a young woman suddenly sucked into a plot to [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt reset the world]] because somebody in the CelestialBureaucracy filed the paperwork. Joined by a RagtagBunchOfMisfits, Gloria must decide where her alliances lie.
Gloria teams up with her clumsy and completely incompetent angel mentor, Ksa Peterson, a librarian named Aaron who can talk to Time himself (Time's usually drunk, though!), Malachi, who can do anything he believes in, BLU, who can make things happen if she feels enough emotion about them, and Calyx, who... uh, who... [[BigEater eats things?]]
They fight such evils as Humanities Majors, CEO s of large supermarket chains, Dr. President of North Dakota, and teenagers in giant robots.
The game features a unique emotion system that determines interactions with [[NonPlayerCharacter NPCs]] and influences combat.

!! This work provides examples of:
* JustFollowingOrders: Peterson's defense for destroying the world.
* VastBureaucracy: The Celestial Bureaucracy.
* SuperLoser: Ksa Peterson. He may be an angel, but everyone treats him like a doofus.
* AwesomeButImpractical: Malachi tends to not use his powers for anything important.
* CelestialBureaucracy: The (aptly named) Celestial Bureaucracy is a shining example of this trope.
* MundaneAfterlife: Coolsville tends to be this.
* HairTriggerTemper: BLU tends to embody this trope.
* TalkToEveryone: At many points, the only way to progress with the story is to do this.
* PermanentlyMissableContent: As the game relies heavily on your manipulation of characters' emotions, there tends to be a lot of this.
* MonstersAnonymous: The Coffee House serves as a meeting place for reformed Monsters.
* WeHaveBeenResearchingPhlebotinumForYears: NAHOR has known about Triggers and angels for years- and has been locking them up.
* SecretGovernmentWarehouse: The Complexus.
* TheMasquerade: Trigger users have to keep their existence (relatively) secret.
* WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue: [[spoiler:The Counseling Ending.]]
* EnemyScan: Gloria and Aaron can do parts of this. Also seen with ARIA scanning.
* VillainWithGoodPublicity: Doctor President and [[spoiler:Arthur]]
* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Johnson.
* WeCare: [[spoiler:Arthur]]
* WhenTreesAttack: Treeaint.
* CastFromHitPoints: Literally.
* StaticStunGun: The Little Universe Destroyer Kit in Stun mode.
* AcmeProducts: Johnson Brand.
* PacifistRun: Puzzle Victories are this.
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: BLU! TENDS TO DO! THIS!
