Similarly to the first game, Nightdive is working on an enhanced rerelease of the game for modern systems. This was originally supposed to release alongside the remake of the first ''System Shock'', but delays made that impossible. A gameplay trailer showing off the enhanced edition was released in June of 2023, so the enhanced edition is still expected to be released at time of writing.

** Very early on, once you reach Medical, a disembodied set of voices will demand to know why you're working with "her" and ask you if you know about her history and intentions (in tandem with a minor InterfaceSpoiler identifying them as "The Many" before they officially refer to themselves as such). This doesn't appear to have any significant meaning, particularly your MissionControl is a human doctor from the ''Von Braun''... until you start connecting the dots regarding ''who'' The Many are referring to.

the PSI-disciplines allows this. And FinalBoss [[spoiler:SHODAN and her avatars]]), but using a weapon or another PSI power ends the effect.
