'''Sword Master''' is a Action Platformer developed by Athena and published by Activision for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992.

The game is very basic and simple. You are the Sword Master, a nameless knight who is on a mission to rescue a princess who has been captured by evil forces. It's up to the knight to get to the enemy's castle by going through several stages. The Knight battles enemies with his sword and can platform over obstacles. Along the journey the hero gains access to a "wizard form" that uses magic for those situations where his sword won't exactly cut it.

Sword Master has an strong soundtrack and very detailed and colorful graphics for the console, that has allowed it become a quiet classic.

!! Sword Master contains examples of:

* TheLostWoods: The first stage of the journey starts out in a dark forest where the hero battles monsters.
* MagicKnight: The Sword Master can swap to a "Mage" forms that has powerful magic that can obliterate foes that his sword cannot touch.
* MultiformBalance: The Mage form is powerful, but has limited magic use.
* NoPlotNoProblem: The Kingdom was attacked! The Princess was kidnapped! You're a hero! Save the day!
* SaveThePrincess: The general mission, fortunately you find her unharmed at the end of the game.
