** Casual mode. It plays exactly like the base game, except Largos will not attempt to eat plorts, which means no Tarr will form. Players who don't want to stop and deal with Tarr while out exploring or want to keep certain slimes close to each other will appreciate this. There's also no EasyModeMockery, so aside from being unable to get certain Tarr-centric achievements there's absolutely no penalty for choosing to play this mode.

Doubly problematic if the missing slime is a Largo.Largo.
** Closer to a straight example, the 1.4.3 update (early December 2020) somehow made the game a lot more resource-hungry. Computers that previously ran the game fine found the loading screen (before you make it to the home menu) taking several minutes if it ever loaded at all. The only surefire fix most people have found is to max out your computer's performance-to-energy efficency ratio in the battery or power settings, but even this might be insufficent depending on your computer's specs. The working theory is that it's related to the Wiggly Wonderland 2020 event and will hopefully be reverted with the first update after the event ends.

** Finding Party Gordos is an outright pain. You basically have to wander around the map listening for party music to know you're getting close. But if you're so fond of the soundtrack that you turned down/off the sound effects, you're out of luck; the party music, for whatever reason, is coded as a sound effect, so it will be inaudible to you if you did that. This is mitigated, however, by the devs giving a clue to the Party Gordo's location every week.

** Twinkle Slimes (exclusive to the Wiggly Wonderland event in mid-late December) have a similar issue to Party Gordos; you have to wander the map listening for their singing, which is inaudible if you don't have sound effects turned on. And unlike Party Gordos, you get no hints from the devs on where it is each day.

** If you try to head to the Moss Blanket at night, you'll be greeted with a swarm of Feral Pink Phosphor Largos on your way there.

When fed their favorite food, slimes produce twice the amount of plorts they normally would. Largo slimes have two favorite foods based on what two slimes they're made of, and produce double of both types of plort when fed either of their favorites. Favorites of Gordo slimes count as two food items(so a Gordo fed only their favorite will pop after 25 food items instead of 50), and using a slime's favorite food on a Gordo snare will more often than not result in a Gordo of the slime that favors that food, with master snares guaranteeing that slime.

** It's entirely possible, if one was so inclined, to get through the entire game and see the end credits without ever purchasing the jetpack. Only caveat is that going to the Moss Blanket before buying the extra Slime Key in the postgame will leave you trapped, unless you're skilled enough at parkour to get to the Honey Gordo once you're in there.

Added Video Game Caring Potential example.

* VideogameCaringPotential: A great deal of the game evokes this sort of thing. Players often get into the habit of helping wild slimes get that food that's just out of reach, making sure that their slimes are well-fed and happy, or destroying rampaging Tarr if they find any. You can even place water cannons in areas with lots of slimes, just so they don't get eaten by a horde of Tarr.

** Gold Slimes will flee if they see you, [[ButtMonkey probably because they're always getting pelted by ranchers for their plorts]]. [[VideoGameCrueltyPotential While it's entirely possible to do this yourself]], you can also opt to instead only obtain their plorts by feeding them Gilded Gingers. Sure, you won't get as many opportunities to get their gold plorts, but [[GoodFeelsGood they reward your kindness and patience by releasing 5 plorts instead of 1]].

Boom Slimes aren't a good example because they're also found in the Indigo Quarry.

*** The Wilds are arguably worse--there's no map of the place, so any guides you can find will be limited to screenshots and descriptions instead of a handy map marker. Nimble Valley has the same problem, but it's a bit easier due to being more or less one circular track.
