'''''[[https://undreamedpanic.itch.io/sirenhead UndreamedPanic's Sirenhead: Southpoint]]''''' is a 2020 survival horror game by Isolation Interactive based on the [[Blog/{{Slimyswampghost}} Trevor Henderson Mythos]].

The player controls Freddy Anderson, a high schooler who goes on a camping trip with his friends. Sirenhead promptly picks them off one-by-one.
----
!!The game provides examples of:
* TheSeventies: Heavily implied to be the setting. Freddy is an Atari gamer and modern technology like smartphones are nowhere to be seen.
* ActionSurvivor: Unlike most horror games, the player can actually defend themselves. Freddy picks up a rifle in the guard tower and can use it to scare Sirenhead off.
* AdaptationalVillainy: The creators of this game must’ve taken some of the pages from ''VideoGame/SlenderTheArrival''. Sirenhead in the original mythos is a simple predator with a BlueAndOrangeMorality. Here? He's straight up a jerkass monster who psychologically abuses Freddy as he walks through the woods.
* AntagonistTitle: Sirenhead is not only the title character, but the monster the player must survive a night against.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: Sirenhead is a 40-foot tall monster. He actually takes advantage of this in his kill animation. All he has to do to kill Freddy is pick him up and let him go.
* AttackItsWeakPoint: [[spoiler:Southpoint has two disembodied hearts placed on two altars within the village. Destroying these hearts would kill Sirenhead itself, which Freddy accomplishes in the good ending.]]
* AxCrazy: Sirenhead is a SerialKiller instead of a predator, and prefers to kill in pretty gruesome ways.
* BigBad: Sirenhead of course, being the titular entity terrorizing Freddy after killing his friends. [[spoiler:and the "god" worhsiped by the Southpoint village[=/=]cult. It has been causing terror and misery well before Freddy and his friends got involved.]]
* BittersweetEnding: In the full release, we are given a "good" ending, [[spoiler:with Freddy ultimately escaping the park. Not only that, but Freddy faces and seemingly kills Sirenhead itself. However, his friends are still dead and the very ending shows there are other anomalies in Southpoint besides Sirenhead.]]
* ButThouMust: [[spoiler:In order destroy Sirenhead's hearts, Freddy must find and read all four letters revealing the town's past. Attempting to destroy the hearts beforehand will do fuck all.]]
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:The village of Southpoint has one, having fallen into worship of what would become Sirenehad. We are told the details of four lore pieces, which reveal that human sacrifice was so commonly practiced, that over the centuries, the villagers severely decreased. It's also stated while the cult leaders flourished, their followers were disillusioned by their state, and lived in constant fear of their deity.]]
* DespairEventHorizon: [[spoiler:The player can optionally go through this by pressing Z and willingly letting Sirenhead kill them.]]
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: In the GoldenEnding, [[spoiler:Freddy uncovers a way to put Sirenhead down, seemingly for good, by destroying it's two hearts.]]
* DisneyVillainDeath: Sirenhead gives this to the player in his kill animation, snatching them up and dropping them to their deaths.
* DontGoIntoTheWoods: South Point Meadows, the setting of the game. It's a dark, gothic countryside out in the middle of nowhere, being patrolled by Sirenhead. Freddy and his friends really shouldn't have camped there.
* EasterEgg: Randomly, Sirenhead might make an early appearance where he's wandering the woods. His sirens might be lit too. This form of him is known as "Lamphead".
* EldritchAbomination: Sirenhead is portrayed as a  "deity" worshiped by the Southpoint village, and aside from it's usual appearance and powers, virtually nothing is known of where it came from. [[spoiler:It's only weakness is two disembodied but still beating hearts hidden within the Southpoint village.]]
* FauxAffablyEvil: Sirenhead's news broadcaster voice talks in a calm and professional manner, but it’s filled with sadistic, smug condescension.
* FlayingAlive: When Freddy finds Sarah's corpse, it's skinned and mangled beyond recognition.
* HellIsThatNoise: Sirenhead's sirens emit all sorts of creepy noises, the most infamous and iconic of which being the Modulator's "Alternate Wail" (aka: Hi-Lo Wail) and the EAS sound.
* HopeSpot: At first, it seems like the cop over the radio will be Freddy's savior. [[spoiler:But it's just Sirenhead's voice mimicry.]]
* HorribleCampingTrip: The premise. It doesn't get much horrible than getting collectively mauled by Sirenhead.
* InvincibleVillain: No matter how many bullets you unload into him, it's impossible to kill Sirenhead, only scare him off temporarily.
* {{Jerkass}}: Sirenhead, uniquely so. In most interpretations of him, he's a silent, mindless monster with BlueAndOrangeMorality, but in this game, he's a spiteful asshole that actively taunts the player.
* LargeHamAnnouncer: The game is essentially narrated by a cheesy, clearly ''[[VideoGame/SilentHills P.T.]]''-inspired radio announcer voice reporting on the game's events (disappearances, search parties, etc). [[spoiler:However, it's revealed that it was actually Sirenhead pretending to be a radio announcer all along.]]
* LuredIntoATrap:
** [[spoiler:Sirenhead tricks Freddy into wandering out in the open by mimicking the voice of a police officer.]]
** [[spoiler:Most or all of the screams the player hears are implied to be from Sirenhead as well, trying to lure Freddy out.]]
* MultipleEndings: Freddy can either [[spoiler:submit to Sirenhead by literally laying down and dying]], or [[spoiler:resist him and try to escape. Either way, Sirenhead kills him]].
* NerdActionHero: Freddy. The whole reason his social circle is camping in the first place is because he's a gamer nerd and they think he needs some sunshine. And he becomes an ActionSurvivor by the end of the game.
* {{Retraux}}: In reality, ''Sirenhead'' is a normal 3D game, but given a pixelized filter to give the superficial illusion of being retro.
* {{Sadist}}: Unlike most interpretations, this version of Sirenhead takes sadistic glee in messing with Freddy's mind and prolonging his suffering.
* TheScream: The player will hear absolutely visceral, bloodcurdling ones all throughout the game. [[spoiler:You would at first assume it's Sarah being attacked by Sirenhead, but it's heavily implied to actually Sirenhead himself playing stock sounds over his sirens and trying to lure Freddy out. Either that, or it's ''playing recordings of the screams Sarah made when she died.'']].
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Usually, his name is spelled "Siren Head", but in this game, it's one word.
* VoiceChangeling: [[spoiler:Sirenhead mimics a radio announcer to taunt the player and a police officer to lure the player into a trap.]]
* {{Wendigo}}: [[spoiler:The last surviving cultist is referred to as one during the credits, but never within the game itself. While he takes the appearance of pop culture depictions, this portrayal has next to nothing to do with the folkloric entity.]]
