* ContinuitySnarl: There are many blatant inconsistencies between the game and Crossroad:
** Poky willingly jumps from the Asanao-3 before it crashes in the game whereas he accidentally falls from it in the manga.
** It's day when the Asanao-3 crashes in the manga, but in the game, it's night.
** In a moment shown both in the manga and the game, just before Kayenne and Rosalya see the Asanao-3 crash, Rosalya trips while running through the forest of Meonis with Kayenne and is too exhausted to stand back up right away. But in the manga, she considers giving up, while in the game, she never does and even insists to continue running on her own, refusing to let Kayenne carry her.
** When Rosalya suffers a fit of PowerIncontinence at the Gendys Station in the manga, she quickly recovers unassisted, but when she suffers another after Askel captures her in the game, she needs ice shi to recover, forcing the party to find the snow bloodor.
** Askel and Ayron are on Gendys searching for Rosalya together in the manga, not in the game, where Ayron is still on Adorya and hasn't joined the search yet.
** Kayenne can use the technique Bomee in the manga but not in the game.
** Bomee is incorrectly described as an air shi spell, whereas in the game, it's a NonElemental technique. Similarly, Chado's Shi-Menhiro technique is incorrectly depicted as an earth shi-based attack, while in the game, it's an ability Chado can't use in battle, he can indeed use a menhir as a weapon with the technique Kiimeni, but it's NonElemental.
** Mantises are called "mantaras" in the manga. In the game, there's only one mantis named Mantara.
** The "Sparkling Kingdom" is said in the manga to be Adorya's nickname, but in the game, it's the name of the former alliance between Gendys and Adorya instead.
** Ayron is shown to travel with a battalion of soldiers from his country in the manga, but they don't appear in the game, where he just commands Adoryan soldiers instead.

* TinTyrant: Ayron always wears an armor that only leaves his face and hands uncovered, Crossroad shows that his armor is also his weapon, since he can manipulate it to turn his arms and fingers into blades. However, he doesn't do this in the game and just uses a sword.

As you can probably guess from the synopsis, the game is a deliberate love letter to classic Eastern RPGs, though it features a real-time combat system similar to a fighting game. Intended to be the first part of an EpisodicGame, The Lightning Kingdom unfortunately received mixed reviews and failed to make a profit, killing both Enigami and any chance of a sequel.

He also can't use it on some objects that must be moved with Askel's attracthorn instead even though it should logically also do the trick.
