* AmbidextrousSprites: The ''SPD'' Rangers fall into this again. The developers tried to mitigate this by having them wear their SWAT armor, but that one still suffers from this, as their badges and headset pieces are only on one side of the suit, flipping over depending on which way the Ranger faces.

* Megazords:
** Dino Megazord (from ''Mighty Morphin'')
** Galaxy Megazord (from ''Lost Galaxy'')
** Thunderstorm Megazord (from ''Ninja Storm'')
** Delta Command Megazord (from ''S.P.D.'')
** Drive Max Ultrazord (from ''Operation Overdrive'')

The Future Omega Ranger does not originate from any of the ''Power Rangers'' television shows and were created for their respective games.games.
** Zedd ends the game piloting a giant red mecha that looks nothing like Serpentera.

* SkillScoresAndPerks: While skill trees don't exist in this game, you can collect Time Orbs in every level which will increase your stats of your chosen Ranger once the level ends.

* AssistCharacter: In the handheld version, Rangers can summon a different SixthRanger as they level up:
** ''Mighty Morphin'' - Green Ranger, White Ranger

to:

* ActionCommands: Activating your Ranger Pose Power has you doing a button sequence in combination with the Rangers' traditional AssKickingPose. If successful, your strength will be increased for a short time.
* AdaptationalNameChange:
** The Corona Aurora is exclusively called by its other name, Crown of the Gods, in this game.
** Gruumm is constantly misspelled as "Grumm."
* AdaptationalWeaponSwap:
** Once again, any Ranger that doesn't have a sword or sidearm is given one in this game, most notably the Omega Ranger, who lacked both in ''SPD'', as his main weapon was his Omega Morpher, which energized his body to perform different feats.
** The ''SPD'' Rangers are depicted as wearing their SWAT armor, but still use their standard weaponry instead of that mode's armaments.
** Not every Ranger team has personal flying vehicles, so when it comes time for, say, the ''Mighty Morphin'' team to take on the shooter levels, they suddenly small personal jets that look nothing like anything seen in the show.
* AdaptedOut: In addition to all the exclusions shared with the console side, this version also excludes ''all'' of the Megazords. Sometimes you'll be able to call a portrait of your Ranger's default Megazord as a screen nuke, but the playable Megazord battles all involve your extremely generic-looking mecha rather than anything from the show.
* AscendedExtra: In ''SPD'', Boom was just a side character and his Orange Ranger form was just an ImagineSpot. Here, he's fully playable under said form, as a reward for getting every Gold Medal in the game.
* AssistCharacter: In the handheld version, Rangers can summon a different SixthRanger as they level up:
** ''Mighty Morphin'' - Green Ranger, White Ranger

** ''Lost Galaxy'' - Magna Defender

** ''Time Force'' - Quantum Ranger

** ''Operation Overdrive'' - Mercury Ranger
** "Forever Red" - Red Rangers from ''Mighty Morphin'' through ''Wild Force''[[note]]This is considered a single spirit with multiple Rangers.[[/note]]
* AirDashing: Like in the console version, you can perform a dash attack, which can be used to defeat enemies or cross gaps.
* AudibleSharpness: Every swing of your sword, no matter what Ranger, is accompanied by a "shwing" sound effect.

* TheCameo: Zordon and Sensei Watanabe (in his hamster form) make a few appearances in the stages based on their eras.
* CosmicKeystone: The Tablet Keys are scattered throughout time and the Rangers have to collect them before the villains do.

* DeathIsASlapOnTheWrist: Like the console version, dying just has you teleport a few feet back, no worse for wear.
* DeflectorShields: Whenever you enter a ShootEmUp segment, your vehicle gets one of these, both at the start and whenever you lose a life, but it can only take one hit before vanishing.
* DigitizedSprites: Much like previous games, the cutscenes utilize digitized scans of promotional art. However, this is averted for the gameplay sprites, unlike Creator/{{Natsume}}'s titles, as they are created wholesale as sprites to begin with.
* DivingKick: Each Ranger can perform one of these from the air and when they do, they twirl around so it becomes a drill kick, complete with tornado-like effect.
* DoubleJump: All of the Rangers can do this, just like the [=PS2=]/PC version.

* GroundWave: Gluto creates these by slamming on the ground during his boss fight.

* HubLevel: The Hall of Legends, where you can upgrade Omega Ranger and choose which era to travel back to.
* TheLostWoods: The first ''Wild Force'' stage takes place in a large forest.
* MakeWrongWhatOnceWentRight: Gluto begins the game by wanting to travel back in time to prevent all Power Rangers from receiving their abilities, thus leaving no one left to stop the forces of evil.
* ManaMeter: This time it takes the form of purple diamonds under your health bar. Activating at least one brings out another Ranger to wipe the out every enemy on screen.
* MercyInvincibility: Averted. You don't get any reprieve if you die. Normally, it's not an issue, but in Zedd's boss battle, you can get in a nasty stun-lock pretty easily, causing you to die multiple times before getting a single hit in.
* MetropolisLevel: Most of the levels take place in whatever city the Rangers' respective seasons took place in.
* MoreDakka: Collecting "Z" powerups in the shooter sections gives you an additional blaster. Collecting another one will give you two other ones that spread out wide.

** Whatever Megazord the player pilots in this game, it didn't exist in the show.

* PaletteSwap: Each era-specific Ranger and {{Mook}}, as per usual with these games. This does result in some OffModel looks, however, such as ''Time Force'' Blue and Quantum having the same diamond-shape visor/chest insignia as ''Time Force'' Red. It also extends to the weapons, as every Ranger now wields one of the Chrono Sabers as their melee weapon, even if they are supposed to have a different sword (such as the Quasar Sabers).
* PlaceBeyondTime: The Omega Ranger finds himself here, thanks to the Guardian transporting him to the Hall of Legends, which exists outside of space and time.
* ThePowerOfRock: Summoning the Green Samurai Ranger has him pull out his [[WebVideo/HistoryOfPowerRangers Ancient Ninja Electric Guitar]] and destroy every enemy with his mad rock skills.

*** ''Ninja Storm'' - Yellow Ranger
*** ''SPD'' - Red Ranger
*** ''Operation Overdrive'' - Red Ranger, Orange Ranger[[note]]This one you need every Gold Medal in the game.[[/note]]

* UnexpectedGameplayChange: The game is mainly a side-scrolling combination of a platformer and a beat-em-up, but some parts shift to a top-down perspective shoot-em-up where the player shoots at enemies while piloting a Flyer and many of the boss fights have a Megazord battle that uses three-dimensional graphics afterwards where the player must dodge missiles and use the touchscreen to damage their opponent.

* UnexpectedGameplayChange: SeriesContinuityError:
** In the ''Time Force'' levels, the game clearly is supposed to take place in the year 3000, but the Quantum Ranger (confirmed to be Eric through AllThereInTheManual) appears there and acts like he is a senior Time Force official. Eric lives in present day and never, during his season, officially joined Time Force, instead being the head of the Silver Guardians private security force.
** One of the ''Wild Force'' levels takes place in what is clearly supposed to be California, with similar-styled condos and palm trees everywhere. However, said levels are also supposed to take place in Coral Harbor, the season's home city, which is in Colorado, not California.
** The ''Lost Galaxy'' levels take place before the end of the series, but also has the Rangers report to "Galactic Command." While it's never implied if this is the same council that ran Terra Venture in the show, it's this either way. If it is the same people who run Terra Venture, they don't know who the Rangers are until the end of the show. If not, then it's completely made up for this game, since otherwise the closest thing the Galaxy Rangers had to that is Alpha 6.
*** Also regarding the Galaxy Rangers, like their console counterparts, they run like every other Ranger, instead of the "primal run" they're known for.
* ShoutOut: In the final area, several large statues of Ranger-like figures are on display. While they aren't exact 1:1 designs, one of the statues looks like [[Series/ChikyuuSentaiFiveman Fiveman Red]] with a different helmet visor while another looks like [[Series/HimitsuSentaiGoranger Aka Ranger]].
* ShownTheirWork: Each of the AssistCharacter Rangers use their specialty weapons in their attack, with added flair, of course.
* SigilSpam: The ''Operation Overdrive'' levels have the Rangers' symbol on flags strewn all across their stages.
* SkillScoresAndPerks: Collecting Chrono Crystals for the Guardian allows him to increase the Omega Ranger's stats and unlock more moves for you to use.
* SmartBomb: The AssistCharacter works like this. By using up your purple crystals, the Ranger comes in and blasts every enemy on screen.
* SpringJump: The Rangers have a special jump which allows them to soar in the air significantly more than their normal jump. It can then be followed up with an air dash to reach cliffs high in the air.
* SubsystemDamage: Megazord fights work this way. You have to fire lasers or swipe sword slashes to destroy the monster's arms, legs, and body before you can go for the head.
* TruerToTheText: Not in every way, but this game does give most of the Rangers their standard melee weapons back, which the console version took away.
* TurnsRed: The Ranger-fought bosses do this when they're low on health, like in classic arcade brawlers.
* UnexpectedGameplayChange:
**
The game is mainly a side-scrolling combination of a platformer PlatformGame and a beat-em-up, BeatEmUp, but some parts shift to a top-down perspective shoot-em-up ShootEmUp where the player shoots at enemies while piloting a Flyer and many of the boss fights have a Flyer
** The
Megazord battle that uses three-dimensional graphics afterwards where the player must dodge fights are played in a first-person perspective and consist of dodging missiles in the first phase and use using the touchscreen touch screen to damage their opponent.be able to land any hits during the second phase.

Added DiffLines:

* VersionExclusiveContent: This version has playable Rangers that aren't in the console versions, as well as several [[SixthRanger Sixth Rangers]] that can be called upon as a screen nuke. The plot also involves ''Time Force'' and ''Wild Force'' characters.
* VillainTeamUp: Just like the console version, but this one is more apparent right away as the first level has Gluto command both Putty Patrollers and Krybots.
* VoiceChangeling: Starting with the second ''Ninja Storm'' level, there are security doors that require voice recognition to activate. The Quantum Ranger upgrades everyone's suits to be able to modify their voice automatically to the one needed, which requires the player to speak into the DS' microphone and play a minigame.
* WallJump: Just like the console version, though this one allows the Rangers to slide down the wall like [[Franchise/SuperMario Mario]] or [[VideoGame/MegaManX X]].

game at all. The Aquitian Rangers are also missing.
** Of the ''Power Rangers'' teams actually in the game, all of them are missing Rangers:
*** ''Mighty Morphin'' - Black, Green, White
*** ''Lost Galaxy'' - Pink, Yellow, Magna Defender
*** ''Wild Force'' - Blue, Black, Yellow, White
*** ''Ninja Storm'' - Blue, Yellow
*** ''SPD'' - Blue, Green, Pink
*** ''Operation Overdrive'' - Yellow, Pink, Mercury
** Oddly enough, none of the Rangers can use any of their melee weapons, even ones shared over multiple Rangers like the Quasar Sabers. They also don't have any of their respective Battilizers or SuperMode forms.
** Many Megazords are also MIA:
*** ''Mighty Morphin'' - Dragonzord, Titanus, Thunder Megazord, Tigerzord, Tor the Shuttlezord, Ninja Megazord, Falconzord, Shogun Megazord
*** ''Lost Galaxy'' - Defender Torozord, Centaurus Megazord, Stratoforce Megazord, Zenith Megazord
*** ''Wild Force'' - Wild Force Megazord, Predazord, Isis Megazord, Konga Megazord, Pegasus Megazord
*** ''Ninja Storm'' - Samurai Star Megazord, Hurricane Megazord, Mammothzord, all of the Power Spheres
*** ''SPD'' - Delta Squad Megazord, Omega Max Megazord, SWAT Megazord

** While there are ''Wild Force'' Rangers playable, since they don't actually have any levels dedicated to them, none of their Megazords appear in the game.
** None of the Rangers' support allies, whether humans, non-fighting non-humans (such as Alpha 5), or Ranger-esque allies (such as Blue Senturion), appear in the game.
** For the villains, the only [[TheDragon Dragons]] from the show to be in the game are Goldar, Choobo, and Icthior. Everyone else, including the other three villain factions from ''Operation Overdrive'', is mysteriously absent.
* HeelFaceDoorSlam: In AdvancingWallOfDoom: Part of the ''SPD'' level will have a massive red electric barrier move towards you. You have to reach the other end of the building before you are immediately killed. A second one comes after you a little ways after you stop the first.
* AirDashing: The Rangers can perform a mild air dash to get across gaps.
* AllYourBaseAreBelongToUs: Trakeena and her Stingwingers invade Terra Venture in Level 2.
* AnachronismStew: Every level contains blue sci-fi-esque crates with blue or orange lights, platforms with hover jets, as well as ''Star Trek''-style doors that lead to different sections of the level. This despite level themes varying from desert ruins to a present-day city to the middle of the forest.
* AndIMustScream: At the end of the game, Zedd attempts to escape through time, but loses the crystal he was using to do so, meaning he's stuck spiraling through the timestream for a ''very'' long time.
* AssKickingPose: Performing your SmartBomb move has your Ranger do one of these, usually inspired by the ones they do in the show.
* BossOnlyLevel: Like previous ''Power Rangers'' games, the Megazord fights are their own separate levels separate from the Ranger sections.
* ButtonMashing: The start of every Megazord battle has the Clash, where you need to mash as fast as possible to knock the monster down. You might have to another one during the fight.
* {{Combos}}: The game emphasizes these by having one of the level goals to reach a specific combo count before the end, as well as encouraging different combo moves in order to increase your Star Rating, which will net you more time orbs once the level ends.
* CarFu: One of the ''Mighty Morphin'' levels has a section where you have to take out {{Mook}}s in the middle of a street while cars continue to ride down unconcerned with avoiding the obvious superhero fight going on around them.
* ChargeAttack: You can charge your ranged weapon for a more powerful blast.
* ChickenJoke: Goldar tries one of these against the Rangers. His answer? "To meet his doom!"
* CollectionSidequest: Each level has 10 era-specific Timeline Collectibles and six "R-A-N-G-E-R" letters scattered about. Getting the former unlocks music and art in the extras menu, collecting the latter unlocks more Rangers for you to play as.
* TheCameo: Emperor Gruumm appears in a cutscene with Zedd and Icthior, but never factors into the storyline after that.
* ContinuityNod: At the start of the game, Future Omega Ranger references the fact that Zedd was originally [[Recap/PowerRangersInSpaceS1E43CountdownToDestructionPart2 purified of his evil energies]] years prior. The episode gets referred to again during the ending cutscene.
* CoOpMultiplayer: A second player can drop into the game at any time.
* CoversAlwaysLie: The [[Series/PowerRangersNinjaStorm Yellow Wind Ranger]] is not playable on
the console version, only the DS version.
* CrisisCrossover: Lord

Strangely, it still comes down during the second half of the fight, when a normal-sized Choobo, still holding his staff, appears in the background.
* DeathIsASlapOnTheWrist: If you die, you'll just be teleported right where you left off to continue the level.
* DemotedToExtra:
** While ''Wild Force'' does get two playable Rangers, they also don't get any levels themed after their season.
** The ''Ninja Storm'' and ''Operation Overdrive'' Megazord representations are the combined form Thunder Storm Megazord and Drive Max Ultrazord formations, respectively. Their smaller combinations (Storm and Thunder Megazords for the former and Drive Max and Dual Drive Megazords for the latter) do not appear in the game.
* DoubleJump: All of the Rangers can perform this. Combined with the air dash, they can maneuver pretty well through the stages.
* DropTheHammer: Literal version. When the Overdrive Rangers find the chest containing the Chrono Stone, the Black Ranger uses his massive hammer weapon to break the chest open.
* DualWielding: Moltor swings two swords during his boss fight.
* ElevatorActionSequence: The second ''SPD'' level has you fighting in moving sky trolleys as wave after wave of enemies appear.
* EvilGloating: Every Ranger boss fight has said boss do this constantly, whether their attacks worked or not, providing you with an opening to attack.
* ExplodingBarrels: Red/orange crates appear often, which explode when attacks.
* FakeShemp: None of the actors from the TV show, whether Rangers or villains, reprise their roles in this game.
* FantasticFlora: The ''Ninja Storm'' levels have plants everywhere that constantly spout out damaging spores.
* FinalBoss: The final boss is Lord Zedd.
* FlunkyBoss: Most of the Ranger boss fights have at least one section where the boss retreats to the background and sends out a few waves of {{Mook}}s that you have to take down.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: The beginning of the game has a massive red mecha that
gets fed up with Grumm's attitude heavily damaged by the Future Omega Ranger. [[spoiler:This is Lord Zedd's new weapon, and takes over, leaving him behind it gets fully repaired in SPD's' era.the final level.]]
* LicensedGame: A video GameplayGrading: After every level, you are graded on how many enemies you defeated, how many Timeline Collectibles you grabbed, if you grabbed all the "R-A-N-G-E-R" letters, and whether you reached the minimum combo requirement. The top score is A.
* TheGhost: Lothor and Rita Repulsa are only mentioned, never seen, in this version.
* GroundPunch: The Drop Attack can not only create a shockwave to harm enemies when it lands, but it can also break certain floors, allowing you to get the goodies underneath.

* InvincibilityPowerUp: Power Spheres allow you to take no damage for a limited time.
* KillEnemiesToOpen: Wouldn't be a ''Power Rangers'' brawler without this.
* LowAngleEmptyWorldShot: For whatever reason, going vertically higher in a level tilts the camera up, with some points having the camera tilted so far your Ranger is cut-off at the bottom, making platforming harder.

** The ''Lost Galaxy'' Rangers run like every other Ranger, instead of the "primal stance" they use in the show proper. They also have a standard shared cockpit inside the Galaxy Megazord when, in the show, they continued to pilot it via their individual Zord cockpits.
** The Navy Thunder Ranger tells Choobo that he'll never find their hideout. The Thunder Ninja Academy was destroyed before ''Ninja Storm'' started and the season begins with Lothor invading the Wind Ninja Academy, meaning that the villains do indeed know where the Rangers' hideout is.
** The Putties are identified as "Z-Putties" in-game, but they use the design from Rita's
version instead.
* ShownTheirWork: Goldar is taken from Season 1, therefore doesn't have his wings.
* SkippableBoss: The Megazord fight against Icthior can be skipped. However, it tends to be random chance whether you can or not. Nobody is quite sure what allows you to fight the boss or not, with some thinking it's due to a programming bug.

* VictoryGuidedAmnesia: Future Omega Ranger tells the other Rangers that, because Zedd was defeated, the timestream is starting to heal itself. Therefore, none of them will remember this fight once they return to their own times.
* VillainTeamUp: The crux of the plot is Zedd recruiting villains from across Ranger history to hunt down and destroy the Rangers, but played with in
that makes it look the only villains he actually interacts with on-screen, other than Goldar, are Gruumm and Icthior.
* TheWallsAreClosingIn: The second half of the ''Mighty Morphin'' stages employ these often.
* WallCrawl: Apparently, all of the Rangers got bit by radioactive spiders, because they can hang still on a wall forever with no difficulty.
* WallJump: As if your Ranger wasn't acrobatic enough already, they can perform these with ease.
