* JapaneseDelinquents: One of Richie's horse options is a dark-colored horse with pompadour and twig between its teeth. Winning a G1 Cup has Richie and Mr. Maekawa don school uniforms to match the theme.

Added DiffLines:

* OurDragonsAreDifferent: One horse option is a bizarre dragon-horse that can even breathe fire after a G1 Cup win.

* SprintMeter:
** Horses have a Stamina stat, which is represented by a given number of Stamina Cards each horse begins a race with. Stamina Cards are gradually used up over the course of a race, with cards being used faster the worse you perform, although it is possible to pick up additional Stamina Cards on the track and clear them in solitaire to regain them. At the Homestretch, any Stamina Cards still remaining are converted into uses of the GO! Button, which gives your horse a small speed boost and pushes away other horses.
** In ''Ride On!'', Stamina is instead represented as a numerical gauge in the top left of the screen. Like the original, Stamina is consumed over time and fluctuates with solitaire performance and track positioning, but new to this game is the "Pace" line, which represents the speed of Stamina drain and how much Stamina you need to clear the Homestretch. Unlike the original, the GO! Button has been replaced by Whip Cards that are allocated to each horse, with Stamina now determining how long your horse can run on the Homestretch before becoming tired, drastically decreasing its speed.

** In ''Ride On!'', the Divine Draw skill automatically clears the board if your stock runs out while there is only one unplayable card remaining. This comes up a ''lot'' more often than it sounds and is invaluable for sinking free Perfects and getting away with unlucky solitaires.

** In ''Ride On!'', Truman is the developer of a game called [[VideoGame/EldenRing "Elder Ring"]], an apparently very difficult classic game about a bunch of old people sitting in a circle.

Added DiffLines:

** In ''Ride On!'', all on-hand money is always retained regardless of the horse you choose, making it easier to hoard funds. This is unfortunately balanced by the fact that it now costs money to breed horses.

Added DiffLines:

* {{Nerf}}: Chirp's Happy Horse Shop was heavily rebalanced in ''Ride On!'', making her overall relative prices far less expensive and more forgiving. This is balanced by the fact that shop access is now restricted to pure random luck.

* RareCandy: ''Ride On!'' introduces Wonder Beans, which immediately grant a horse an additional level. Notably, Wonder Beans can also be used past Age 4, making them the only way to level up a horse after it has entered Mature Mode and can no longer gain Experience.

* NitroBoost: During the Homestretch, any leftover Stamina Cards from the race will be converted into cards that activate the GO! Button. Hitting the GO! Button will consume a Stamina Card and cause your horse to slightly boost forward, ignoring stamina-induced fatigue for a brief period of time. If you collect a Boost Card, you can also use it to force your horse to gain an instantaneous increase in max speed temporarily. If you collect two Boost Card, the effect becomes even more powerful.

** In ''Ride On!'', the GO! Button has been replaced by Whip Cards, which are superficially similar but have different properties. Whip Cards are determined by the specific horse rather than remaining Stamina (which now determines how quickly your horse tires in the Homestretch); furthermore, Whip Cards provide less of a speed boost and do not ignore fatigue, but they are more capable of pushing rivals out of your way, making it easier to cut through opponents blocking your path.

* PayingInCoins: Unlike the originals, where a real-world currency was used as the in-game currency, ''Ride On!'' deals in indeterminate "Coins". Notably, Coins ''aren't'' the same as Yen/Dollars and scale much differently compared to the original game.
