''Mystery of the Pumpkin Castle'' is a ''VideoGame/{{Minecraft}}'' map. The protagonist is a detective named Vivian Hanson, who receives a call one day from a man named Jim Dour, who wants her to investigate the people of his home, Crepuscule Town, being kidnapped and taken to the Pumpkin Castle. Agreeing to help him, she finds the town suddenly appears outside her house... totally deserted.

!!This map contains examples of:

%%* ActionGirl: Vivian Hanson.
* AndYourRewardIsClothes: There are a few collectable masks that serve no purpose other than to look cool.
%%* ApocalypticLog: A few can be found around the town.
%%* AlwaysNight: [[spoiler:[[CueTheSun Until the Jim Reaper is vanquished, that is]].]]
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: If [[spoiler:Jim Reaper]] wins, you will [[spoiler:have your soul sucked out and be turned into an undead soldier... and have your name legally changed to Jim]].
* AttackItsWeakPoint: To kill [[spoiler:the Jim Reaper]], you have to destroy his 4 Hearts.
%%* BigBad: [[spoiler:The Jim Reaper.]]
%%* BigBoosHaunt: Most of the map.
%%* BigFancyCastle: The Pumpkin Castle.
%%* BlackAndGreyMorality: At least according to [[spoiler:Jim Reaper]]: "Doctor Franken kidnapped children and used them as test subjects. Doopliss sold illegal drugs. Padem stole from corpses. Darkly killed his dog."
%%* CloudCuckooLander: Padem, if his diary is anything to go by.
%%* DungeonTown: Crepuscule Town.
* EarlyGameHell: The early stages of the game when you're being constantly swarmed with enemies but have very limited supplies is definitely the hardest part. Once you get more equipment and healing items, things start easing out.
%%* FauxAffablyEvil: [[spoiler:The Jim Reaper.]]
%%* FinalBoss: [[spoiler:The Jim Reaper.]]
* FlunkyBoss: [[spoiler:The Jim Reaper]] sends his minions after you, but compared to the rest of the map, his arena is positively sterile.
* ForTheEvulz: "Because I'm [[spoiler:the Jim Reaper]], you dumb broad. That's why."
* HardLevelsEasyBosses: The map is extremely hard, with a confusing layout, a shortage of items, and loads and loads of powered up monsters swarming everywhere. The final (and only) boss might just be the easiest part of the whole thing.
* MissionControlIsOffItsMeds: [[spoiler:Jim Reaper]], who is constantly chatting with you, and also taunting and threatening you.
* MultipleEndings: You [[LastSecondEndingChoice can either]] [[spoiler:become the new Jim Reaper, or reject the role and free all the (not exactly nice) townsfolk]].
* NintendoHard: Lots of really tough enemies, little equipment, no mercy.
* NoOntologicalInertia: [[spoiler:The town and all its people are returned to normal after the Jim Reaper dies.]]
* ShoutOut:
** There are quite a few to ''Manga/SoulEater''.
** Also, one of the books was apparently written by [[VideoGame/PaperMarioTheThousandYearDoor Doopliss]].
* SignificantAnagram: All the gravediggers' names were spelled using the same letters in different orders, [[OddNameOut except the last]].
%%* StationaryBoss: [[spoiler:The Jim Reaper.]]
%%* TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon: [[spoiler:Jim Reaper's lair.]]
* WeirdMoon: The moon has a face, which constantly sports an evil-looking grin that makes it look almost identical to the one from ''Manga/SoulEater''.
* WeirdSun: [[spoiler:After winning, a smiling Sun comes up.]]
%%* YouKillItYouBoughtIt: [[spoiler:This happens in one of the endings.]]
%%* ZergRush: If you can't see an enemy at any point in the Castle, you might be hallucinating.
