It is a light-gun shooting game where the player controls Hakaider and use the Hakaider Shot, while also incorporating adventure game elements.
Taking place 10 years after the original film's events, Hakaider, after refusing follow Professor Gil's orders, loses his right hand from an attack by Waruder. Using a spare right arm, Hakider heads back to Jesus Town in order to retrieve his right arm back and defeat Gil.
