Mo was implied to have been much larger under the reign of Adam's great-grandfather, the Architect, but his grandfather, the Enslaver, ruined things. As for Gregor, Adam's father, he at least made some effort to fight the Tyrann in his younger days, but stopped trying to restore Mo after his children were born, likely for fear of risking them.
