UsefulNotes/GameBoyColor.

There, you'll control the titular Nicky, the third son of Satan as he goes on his way to bring down the other two sons of Satan, who have escaped to Earth in an attempt to take it over. It consists of 23 short stages, which are mostly platforming, but are at times broken up with the boss battles or [[MiniGame minigames]].

* AbsurdlySpaciousSewer: Stage 18, "Tunnel Vision". It also features ghostly heads poking out of the slime on the floor, followed by their hands trying to grab Nicky.
* AlwaysFemale: All of the angels in the game are female.

* BratsWithSlingshots: The peeping tom in the intro is knocked off the tree by one. He dies and goes to hell as a result.

* FinalBoss: Adrian.
* ForcedTutorial: Nicky has to get trained by Jimmy before he has to get his two brothers.
* HotterAndSexier: Thanks to Mrs. Dunleavy revealing her outfit, it is one of the few Gameboy Color games to have such a scene.
* MiniGame: There are several mini-games to play.

to:

* ChainedToARailway: Like in the movie, Adrian does this to [[spoiler:Valerie.]] Then, [[spoiler:Nicky frees her, but gets hit himself, and then goes to heaven as a result of his HeroicSacrifice.]]
* FinalBoss: Adrian.
Adrian, the stronger of the Satan's rogue sons. (The other one, Cassius, goes down without a fight after losing to Nicky in a basketball game.) Even so, all he can do is charge straight at Nicky, get blasted in the face with [[spoiler:Release the Good power he got from his trip to heaven, after reconnecting with his angelic mother]], yet still try that a couple more times, before warping back to his throne, summoning an instantly killed "hell spawn" (which range from snakes to brightly coloured dwarves) and then charging Nicky a few more times, before summoning another useless "hell spawn" again... After this cycle is repeated three times, he finally transitions to a (slightly) more challenging phase.
* FlamingSkulls: Flying flaming skulls are one of the opponents in the final stages.
* FluffyCloudHeaven: Played straight when [[spoiler:Nicky heroically dies when freeing Valerie from the train tracks and goes to one, which takes up two stages. The first even has fluffy clouds as platforms. Notably, he still doesn't realize he's in heaven until he gets point-blank told that by his own angel mom at the end of the two stages.]]
* ForcedTutorial: Nicky has to get trained by Jimmy in an "Earth Simulator" before he has to get his two brothers.
* ForgotAboutHisPowers: In the subway stage where [[spoiler:he tied Valerie to the tracks]], Adrian is able to not just fly, but to occasionally cast projectiles. He is reduced to flying straight at Nicky during his actual boss fight, even though his ranged magic would have been very useful there.
* GoombaSpringboard: [[spoiler:Female angels that exclusively populate the heaven stages act like this in stage 21.]] Played with in that they are hardly aggressive, and usually react to Nicky with variations of "You are so cute!" After all, [[spoiler:he may be the son of Satan, but he is the son of an angel as well.]]
* HandBlast: Nicky possesses "Release the Evil!" power which acts as a very short-ranged blast. [[spoiler: In the final stage, after he goes to heaven, he gets "Release the Good!" counterpart as well, which makes all the demons serving Adrian non-hostile in the lead-up stages, and outright destroys his summoned underlings during the boss fight.]]
*
HotterAndSexier: Thanks to Mrs. Dunleavy revealing her outfit, it It is one of the few Gameboy Color games to have such show scantily clad women, as it adapts the film's opening where a scene.
* MiniGame: There are several mini-games
Peeping Tom spies on Mrs. Dunleavy and get to play.see her strip down to lingerie, before Nicky spots him and shoots him with , which causes him to fall off the tree, [[MoodWhiplash hit his head, die and go to hell]].

* ThePeepingTom: Much like the movie, the game begins with a scene of a Peeping Tom falling off a tree after attempting to spy on Mrs. Dunsleavy, and then going to hell after fatally hitting his head. Devil greets him with "Like to pretend we are horny little birds, are we?", and then he starts getting chased by a literal huge and horny crow.
* PlatformBattle: A much easier and more boring variation than most. Stage 17 has Nicky battle a boss who is basically just a guy with a baseball bat. Meanwhile, Nicky has "Release the Evil!" ranged attack, and though it's weak and takes a while to recharge, he also gets a few platforms above the ground level, which the boss cannot reach, so the battle consists of shooting the boss once, jumping up the platforms, going back down...rinse and repeat a few times, and the battle is over.
** The FinalBoss battle with Adrian is a somewhat similar, there are again platforms, and a pit of flames on one of them. However, while Adrian's useless hellspawn cannot jump onto the platforms, Adrian himself can fly. However, he is practically bound to fly at him in a straight line and thus get blasted with his powers in the face, instead of trying to circle around him and[=/=]or attack from above or below.

* RatStomp: Inverted. Nicky, the son of Satan, will be instantly knocked out by rats and so he is better off avoiding them entirely.
* SlowElectricity: One of the earliest Earth sections has Nicky traverse a subway track; not only will he often have to dodge the trains in the conveniently placed ditches (good thing demons don't suffer hearing loss!), but the electricity sparks will regularly flare up on sections of the rail, keeping him on his toes.

* StandardStatusEffects: If Nicky is near ice, he slows down. If he is near fire, he speeds up.

to:

* StandardStatusEffects: If SpikesOfDoom: Notable for showing up only midway through the game, when Nicky gets his temporary flight powers and will often need to avoid the spikes that'll be littering the walls in such areas.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Since he is from hell,
Nicky is near ice, he slows down. If he is near not only completely immune to fire, he speeds up.actually recharges the power he uses to hover off the ground and such by stepping into the flames. On the flip side, not just ice, but mere water from the hydrant immediately sets his power gauge down to zero, complete with a voice clip of Nicky intoning "I'm freezing!"
