* ActionizedSequel: The third game amps the destruction. Not only are allied objects actually destroyable unlike in the previous two games, but special [=UFOs=] are introduced and crashing them is encouraged to get gifts.

* CriticalExistenceFailure: Inverted in the second game. If you hit an object at a high enough speed, it's possible for the rocket to get destroyed, even though the health bar shows that it still has some HP (it won't have much at that point, but still).

* TakingYouWithMe: It's possible (and very likely to happen once fuel runs out) to take down both your rocket and another vehicle with one collision.

* TakingYouWithMe: It's TakingYouWithMe:
** In the second game, destroy missions involve you packing the rocket with plenty of explosives and colliding with the target, which results in both getting destroyed.
** In the third game, it's
possible (and very likely to happen once fuel runs out) to take down both your rocket and another vehicle with one collision.

''Into Space'' is a series of UsefulNotes/AdobeFlash video games by Barbarian Games. The first game was released in 2010 and has you play as a scientist whose rocket must fly to the Moon. There are several upgrades and in-game achievements.

''Into Space 2'' was released in 2012. It takes the formula of the first game and expands on it with the new goal of reaching Mars, more rocket parts, upgrades, and 30 missions to clear with each one having a different objective.

''Into Space 3: Xmas Story'' was released in 2013. It's pretty much the same game as the predecessor, only it has a Christmas theme and the goal is collecting 1000 gifts which were stolen by aliens to save Christmas. There are some minor improvements and a revamped mission system where you get a random mission every time instead of picking one as a separate level.
----
!!These games provide examples of:
* BigYes: Every time you earn an achievement, the game lets out a powerful "OH YEAH!"
* DiscountCard: Each Expensive achievement in the first game lowers prices of upgrades by -5%.
* EdibleCollectible: The third game has candies as collectible items which are also used as currency for upgrades.
* ExcusePlot: The plot of the first two games can be summed up as "the Scientist wants the rocket to go to space because of money." The third game's plot is "recover stolen Christmas gifts" instead.
* FlyingSaucer: [=UFOs=] become obstacles at high altitudes. The third game has those with aliens who have stolen gifts and you have to ram into them to recover gifts.
* LevelMapDisplay: A purchase radar displays the location of some/all items present in the level not far from the rocket (fuel, speed gates, thunderclouds, other vehicles, and in the third game, gifts and [=UFOs=]).
* MetalSlime: [=UFOs=] in the third game. They drop quite a bit of candy and gifts when hit and destroyed, but they are fairly sturdy and fly away from the rocket as soon as they are hit.
* MissionPackSequel: The third game plays largely the same as the second game, with few changes to the overall gameplay. It's set apart mainly by a Christmas theme and a different game goal.
* NecessaryDrawback: The better items are, the more they weigh, potentially slowing the rocket down slightly. Additionally, there are several items which tend to improve something at the cost of something else getting worse, for example Econom Mode that decreases both fuel consumption and engine power.
* NotActuallyCosmeticAward: Each achievement gives money, as well as boosts a stat slightly or unlocks something.
* SavingChristmas: The third game makes collecting all gifts to save Christmas the ultimate goal.
* SchmuckBait: The game may place hazards right next to bonuses. For example, you may run into a thundercloud right above a speed gate, punishing you if you go for it.
* ScoreScreen: After each finished day, the game shows how much money you've earned from altitude, pickups, and other bonuses on such a screen.
* SelfDestructMechanism: You can push a "Self Destruct" button to instantly destroy the rocket and end the day early.
* TakingYouWithMe: It's possible (and very likely to happen once fuel runs out) to take down both your rocket and another vehicle with one collision.
* XRaySparks: The third game starts with the Scientist setting up Christmas lights, but he gets electrocuted and his skeleton is shown.
