''Infinite Undiscovery'' is a 2008 EasternRPG for the UsefulNotes/Xbox360, developed by Creator/TriAce and published by Creator/SquareEnix.

* BonusBoss: Several in the Seraphic Gate, but the biggest are tri-Ace regulars Gabriel Celeste and Iseria Queen. Strangely, [[spoiler:they look like Faina and Leif.]]
* BonusDungeon: It's tri-Ace, so of course it has some variant of the Seraphic Gate, [[BonusBoss Gabriel Celeste and Iseria Queen]] included.

* ObviousBeta: Most of the game feels like a tech demo of stuff that would later show up in ''VideoGame/StarOceanTheLastHope'', and has a very unpolished feeling.
** On the other hand, the game doesn't suffer from the myriad problems that most betas tend to have. It does feel pretty rushed, though.

* UngratefulBastard: No matter what [[spoiler: they have done to save the world,]] as soon as he finds out that[[spoiler: [[BrokenMasquerade Capell isn't really Sigmund]]]] the Emir [[spoiler: has the Liberation Force arrested.]] The fact that [[spoiler: Capell also reveals himself to be an [[FantasticRacism Unblessed]]]] doesn't help.

* ArbitraryHeadcountLimit: With so many characters, it's pretty much inevitable.
* BattleButler: Genma.

* CallingYourAttacks: By the bucketloads.

* LoadsAndLoadsOfCharacters: To the point where some dungeons require up to three parties to complete.

* InterfaceScrew: When you're [[StandardStatusEffects confused]], the controls get really wonky.

* NotSoDifferent: Aya realizes this between her and Saranda. [[spoiler: They both would support the ones they loved. Saranda to Leonid as much as Aya to Capell.]]

* ZettaiRyouiki: Aya.

* BigBad: Leonid the Dreadknight is the ambitious leader of The Order of Chains who wants to use the Chains to bind the moon to the Earth. This is slowly killing the planet, unleashing natural disasters and monsters, and it is up to [[TheHero Capell]] to stop him. [[spoiler:Later it is revealed that he wasn’t doing this to get closer to [[ManBehindTheMan Veros the Crimson One]], the [[JerkassGods god]] of the moon]].

The moon has been chained to the planet by an organisation called the Order of Chains. Each chain causes the earth to wither around it, and unleashes monsters and natural disasters. Only TheChosenOne has the power to break these invulnerable chains and free the world from their malign influence.

* BigBad: Leonid.

** BiggerBad: [[spoiler: Veros]].

Gameplay is similar to tri-Ace's ''StarOcean'' series. The player has direct control over the main character, Capell, while the AI controls the other characters. The player can "connect" Capell to any character in his active party in order to use their skills, and must do so in order to deal with certain puzzles, destroy certain obstacles, or perform item crafting in towns.

** There are also the "unblessed". In this world, people normally receive a "lunaglyph" at birth. The "lunaglyphs" grant their bearers magical powers. However, those born under a new moon, or during a lunar eclipse, do not receive a lunaglyph. They are the "unblessed", and are basically pariahs. No government will protect them, and they are frequently exiled from their hometowns.

* FiveManBand:
** TheHero: Lord Sigmund.
** TheLancer: Edward (Subverted. Played straight when Capell takes over as TheHero.)
** TheSmartGuy: Eugene, Savio and Kiriya.
** TheBigGuy: Balbagan.
** ActionGirl: Aya/Dominica.
** TagalongKid: Capell (later TheHero), Rico and Rucha, Vic.
** TheMedic: Michelle, who has a healing Lunaglyph.
** TeamPet: Gustav.

* DullSurprise: Caitlyn Glass and Laura Bailey are the only actors worth noting here. The rest of the cast have a bad tendency to either be completely flat-toned, or enunciate in really weird ways. The aristos take the cake, however. They aimed for reserved and wise, instead they sound more wooden and uninterested than the most incredibly dull puppet show.
** Though to be fair, it's stated in the game itself that becoming an aristo changes a person's personality, making them more analytical and emotionless than they previously were. This doesn't excuse some of the other voice acting, though.

** But honestly, do you expect a character voiced by Creator/DavidVincent to be anything ''but'' a ham?

* EverythingsWorseWithBears: Gustav the bear, for Capell's enemies. Capell can ride on his back and the bear in question can kick a lot of ass. And he breathes fire.

His journal entries and attack voice reflect his new attitude.]] He gets better, [[spoiler: but still succeeds in his goal.]]
