High Seas Havoc, released in Japan as Captain Lang and in PAL Terrorities as "Capt'n Havoc" The cover art for PAL terrorities names the game "Havoc", however it's named "Capt'n Havoc" in the title screen, is a PlatformGame that was developed and published by Creator/DataEast for the UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis, being released first in North America within 1993 before later on getting released for both Japan and Europe in 1994, with Europe's publisher being Creator/Codemasters instead of Data East themselves. This delightful platformer tells the story of a noble pirate seal named Captain Havoc/Lang who, together with his kid sidekick, Tide/Lando, sail the seven seas in search of adventure, fighting more villainous corsairs and generally living the good life.

It also had the misfortune of having its sound driver stolen and used for several unlicensed ("Pun pirated", shall we say) games for the Mega Drive.

* Expy: Bridgette looks a lot like an older Amy Rose, doesn't she? And really, if not for his seal flippers, Havoc's general demeanor is rather reminiscent of Sonic's, and he even has a KidSidekick...
to:
* Expy: Havoc's design and personality comes the closest of any MascotWithAttitude to heavily envoking the Japanese version of Characters/SonicTheHedgehog correctly, especially with his general demeanor being "cool, determined, and tough", but "cute, friendly, and funny", not being burdened by many of the mistakes that many of the western-designed mascots shared. Heck, if not for a last minute color swap from an early prototype of the game, he'd easily be mistaken for Sonic with a bandana and seal flippers.

Added DiffLines:
** The cover art for the UK and Australian releases of the game plays this straight, as instead of showing Havoc and Bernardo, the cover only shows a menacing-looking pirate skull and crossbones.

Yes, you read that right — the final boss pulls this on you!
