\"Note: This is not about double standards in the real world. It is about double standards in storytelling.\"

* DoubleStandard: When images of Bridget were first released, a lot of people were commenting on how hot she was, despite looking pre-pubescent. When his true gender was revealed, many of the same people who expressed interest backtracked, saying that it was disgusting. So apparently it's okay to be attracted to someone who looks like a child, as long as they're a girl.
** Also in shipping, some fans bash Ky for having romantic connections with Dizzy, a girl who's three years old (even though [[YoungerThanSheLooks it's outright stated that she is mentally and physically 20]]) while they adore the Ky/Sol pairing during the Holy War timeline where Ky is just in his '''EARLY TEENS''' and Sol in '''HIS HUNDREDS'''. Note that physically, Sol looks like he's around 30. So apparently it's {{Squick}} when it's a straight pairing but romantic if it's BoysLove.
*** It could also work the opposite way. Some Ky/Dizzy shippers bash the Sol/Ky pairing non-stop using Ky's Christianity against the homosexual relationship, yet technically, Ky may have had premarital-sex with his lover, which is also considered a sin in the religion and probably at the same level with a homosexual relationship.
