Developed by Interactive Studios (later renamed Creator/BlitzGames) and released for the UsefulNotes/Nintendo64 and PC in late 1998, it also had another version that was released for the UsefulNotes/PlayStation in 1999, but unfortunately it turned out to be a PortingDisaster. The game had very mixed reviews citing a horrible camera (even for its time), bad level designs, and lackluster controls. It's a quirky platformer that requires actually using the {{Macguffin}}s to solve puzzles and work contraptions. It also tended to be one huge EscortMission, as if the Crystal Ball breaks or pops in any shape or form, you lose a life. A modern re-release for Windows was released on April 20, 2022. A re-release for modern consoles was announced on October 28, 2022.

* AwesomeButImpractical:
** The crystal ball form of the {{Macguffin}} is cool and grabs you extra points if you collect Garibs with it, but it's also extremely fragile and impossible to dribble or hit.
** One of the cheat codes gives you a secret fifth ball in the shape of one of the enemies of the current world. The stats of the ball vary, but most of them have cripplingly-low health. The only exception might be the balloon elephant from the Circus world, which can get you up pretty high but is also a ''freaking huge'' target.

** One of the cheat codes gives you a secret fifth sixth ball in the shape of one of the enemies of the current world. The stats of the ball vary, but most of them have cripplingly-low health. The only exception might be the balloon elephant from the Circus world, which can get you up pretty high but is also a ''freaking huge'' target.

Added DiffLines:

* MultiformBalance: All of the forms the ball can take have their own strengths and weaknesses.
** Bouncy Ball: Bounces you up higher when dribbling, serving as the primary means of jumping. Also floats so you can use it to traverse water. In exchange it is prone to bouncing all over the place, which not only makes it unhelpful for puzzles but almost must be kept track of so it doesn't bounce off the stage.
** Bowling Ball: Can't be dribbled for beans, but it's big and heavy. Good for puzzles and obstacles, but also a huge target.
** Ball bearing: A little metal ball. Good for precision movement/aiming and is magnetic, but it's less durable than the previous two. Despite its material it can be slightly dribbled.
** Crystal Ball: The fact that Glover turned these into Bouncy Balls in the first place should tell you [[OneHitPointWonder how fragile they are]]. ([[SchmuckBait Try dribbling it if you don't believe us.]]) In exchange, they're very fast, they float, and they give extra points when collecting Garibs.
** Power Ball: A little purple ball accessible only through cheat code. Basically the Rubber Ball except much more bouncy.
** Enemy Ball: A cheat code ball that differs by world, taking the form of one of the enemies. Their stats vary wildly.

The first bonus level is a homage to ''VideoGame/{{Frogger}}''.''VideoGame/{{Frogger}}''.
** The fifth bonus level is very reminiscent of VideoGame/PacMan. You become the ball and have to navigate through a familiar maze collecting Garibs, avoiding ghosts, and can even warp between sides of the map. The only difference is you can immediately head to the exit and end it early if you want to.
