Added DiffLines:

* CutscenePowerToTheMax: Generally avoided, but the Futures Perfect quest cutscene is a perfect demonstration of the trope with all kinds of acrobatic moves and non available spells that makes one wish they could actually do half of what's done there.

Added DiffLines:

* InstantKill: Each Primal has some sort of mechanic or condition that must be fullfiled to reduce their Astral Flow damage down to survivable numbers. Complete failure to do so means unavoidable 9999 damage hit.

Added DiffLines:

* LostForever: A good deal of the content related to the 7th Umbral Era storyline will be permanently removed from the game once 2.0 comes in. This goes from relatively minor lodestone achievements (some of which are only available between 2 patches and are already LostForever) to several storyline quests and battles or unique Goobbue mount. Many seasonal event rewards also fall under this.

Added DiffLines:

* SpeedRun: Instanced dungeons have an one hour limit to be cleared, but offer more rewards and achivements if completed on fifteen minutes or less, leading to all kind of SpeedRun strategies. In fact, most of the game's content at the very least provide a lodestone achievement if beaten in particularly fast times.

Added DiffLines:

* TrailersAlwaysLie: See that awesome barrier spell in the opening CG? Or that mage setting up the archer's arrows in flame? So...yeah. None of that can be done in the game at all, sorry.

The game is set in a region called Eorzea, on the planet Hydaelyn. Eorzea is a bit more "high-tech" than Vana'diel was, with airships akin to ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyXII'', a wider arrays of guns, and with an actual system of roads. Eorzea itself is a sort of frontier, being implicitly a great deal less developed and 'tamed' than surrounding Aldenard, although the various cities have existed for at least centuries. Ala Mhigo was razed by them, but soon after the Garleans retreated, forcing the remaining city-states to militarize and band together in an uneasy peace.
