Doesn't establish that they got the position thanks to their strength.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Every team besides The Frozen has a leader, mostly determined by the slightly different head crest or shoulder pads, who has superior stats to the rest of them.

added some more tropes

Added DiffLines:

*AutoDoc: The Tech Team and Death use a health visor which regenerates their health when used. Death’s health visor will hurt Electric Man if he goes near it.

Added DiffLines:

*SkullForAHead: Death, the final boss of the game, and his fighters.
*StickFigureAnimation: Everyone in this universe is a stick person with armor or special abilities, and of course Electric Man himself.

* AnIcePerson: The Frozen are this, though this is only represented in their blueish appearance and ice spikes on the top of their head. Getting stuck below an avalanche for too long may eventually render you immune to cold in this game's world, but it's no match to [[ComicBook/IncredibleHulk X-Rays]] when it comes to actually providing powers.

[[caption-width-right:288:The best-known instalment.]]

'''Electric Man''' is a series of fighting games made in UsefulNotes/AdobeFlash by an Australian software engineer Damien Clarke. The earliest mention of these games dates to about [[https://www.wired.com/2007/02/electricman-2-h/ 2007]].

All games use StickFigureAnimation and have the same premise: the titular Electric Man competes in the Tournament of Voltagen against whole teams of opponents, until he reaches the final boss battle against Death itself (along with its skeletons). The most well-known one is ''Electric Man 2: Tournament of Voltagen'', because it has been featured on the largest number of WebGame websites, like ''Newgrounds'' and Stickpage. However, the latest version is actually [[http://electric-man.org/electric-man-4/ Electric Man 4]], which can be played by following the link, even though it still has the Electric Man 2 title screen.

!! Tropes present in the Electric Man games:

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Every team besides The Frozen has a leader, mostly determined by the slightly different head crest or shoulder pads, who has superior stats to the rest of them.
* DemBones: The FinalBoss of the Tournament is Death, who is supported by skeletons. They are actually the weakest out of all rank fighters, but they are also the most numerous: there are seven of them on Easy and nine on Pro, in addition to Death itself.
* DisabilitySuperpower: The Blind are a team of ninjas who are blindfolded, but can often track your characters better than the other teams, and are also able to anticipate and dodge your attacks, when some of the earlier, sighted teams, like the Replicants, are incapable of doing so.
* ExcusePlot: Borders on NoPlotNoProblem, since you know very little besides the existence of the tournament.
* GasMaskMooks: The Toxic 10. Justified because they actually work and fight in the toxic environments, and they are not actually immune to it, unlike The Plague.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: How everyone's fighting in the tournament. Unlike many other fighting games, nobody tries ranged attacks here: not the advanced Cirrian Guard robots, nor the elementally charged Pyromaniac and The Frozen teams.
* AnIcePerson: The Frozen are this, though this is only represented in their blueish appearance and ice spikes on the top of their head. Getting stuck below an avalanche for too long may eventually render you immune to cold in this game's world, but it's no match to [[ComicBooks/TheHulk X-Rays]] when it comes to actually providing powers.
* PaletteSwap: There's so little difference in how each of the teams actually fights that some may well be palette swaps. Granted, the early enemies can't dodge, while all members of the late-game Tech Team has the ability to heal themselves at the cost of standing still and becoming vulnerable to attacks during that time. (An ability also possessed by Death itself.) Otherwise, they are all quite similar.
* ShockAndAwe: Your character's powers, obviously. Though, he is never capable of actually projecting them outside his body, and the most he can do is to enter a supercharged state.
* UpdatedRerelease: Literally every numbered instalment is actually this, as it keeps all stages and other elements of the original game and the better-known second one, while adding additional content as well.
