''Dungeon Travelers 2: The Royal Library & the Monster Seal'' is a DungeonCrawler EasternRPG released on March 28, 2013 in Japan for the UsefulNotes/PlayStationPortable and September 2014 on the UsefulNotes/PlayStationVita. The game was released in America by Atlus on August 18, 2015, and in Europe by NIS America on October 16, 2015.

* OverprotectiveDad: Melvy's father goes so far as using his position as head of the Royal Order to send Monica to spy on Fried and anyone else who comes close to his daughter. Especially Fried, though.

* ACupAngst: {{Subverted}}. When Alicia first meets up with Fried, she gets jealous of his increased height.

* AttentionDeficitOohShiny: Alicia is way too easily distracted, especially by food.
* BigEater: Alicia is a big sweets eater, but not nearly as much as Conette.

* BornUnlucky: Fried, by his own admission. Alicia and Melvy agree. It can be seen as an explanation for why it's so easy to walk into traps in dungeons.

* CovertPervert: Lilian. When Alicia asked Lilian to show her drawings, Lilian was suspiciously flustered while rejecting her.

* EarlyGameHell: The first few chapters are brutal due to the simple fact that Alicia and Melvy are the only two party members at the start and enemies even in the first dungeon can one or two-shot Melvy. Having the DLC characters to form an immediate full party and their having much better starting equipment makes that portion of the game, until getting a full party naturally, significantly easier.

* FriendlessBackground: Averted with Fried, although he admits this is only because of Alicia and Melvy's efforts. He doesn't seem to mind, though.
* GeniusDitz: Alicia graduated with near-perfect scores in her swordsmanship and the worst scores in everything else.
* GenkiGirl: Alicia never drops her cheerful attitude.
* GlacierWaif: Alicia is short and small, yet her fighter class gives her more hit points, strength, and defense than the other characters at the start of the game, such as Melvy and Lilian. Even more pronounced when she unlocks her advanced classes, which potentially have her walking around in heavy armor, wielding weapons bigger than herself.

* HeightAngst: When Alicia first meets up with Fried, she gets jealous of his increased height.

A sequel titled ''Dungeon Travelers 2-2'' had an original 2015 Japanese release, but was delayed for the Western audiences.

* BornUnlucky: Fried, by his own admission. Alicia and Melvy agree. It can be seen as an explanation why it's so easy to walk into traps in dungeons.

* CaughtWithYourPantsDown: {{Subverted}}. Melvy wears a skirt, but the very first time you see her after she collapses from rubble, a still-image shows her panty-clad butt openly exposed.

* ChargedAttack: How magical spells function in this game. Instead of casting them instantly, the caster begins chanting the spell. This takes a few turns and can be interrupted by damage, especially in the form of critical hits. The time it takes for the chant to complete is dependant on the power and rank of the spell.

* TheComicallySerious: A source of humor in the game is [[ChasteHero Fried]], and by extension the narration, entirely ignoring the fanservice the girls throw at him. When Conette invites him to her room for 'serious discussion'[[note]]she actually wants a massage[[/note]] and greets him almost completely naked, he reacts flustered, but only because her [[InformedDeformity chubby stomach and flabby arms]] are on full display and because such an outfit is hardly appropriate for a serious discussion.
* CordonBleughChef: Irena makes some sort of healthy tea for Fried, who almost chokes on it. She actually followed the recipe and made sure it tasted good... only to add a whole bunch of other, clashing ingredients to it afterwards, completely ruining the taste.

* EnemyScan: The Searching Eye joint attack reveals everything about every monster on the field, including remaining HP. This isn't normally visible, even when you already have created the sealbook(s) of the enemy monster type(s).

* GlacierWaif: Alicia is short and small, yet her fighter class gives her more hit points, strength and defense than the other characters at the start of the game, such as Melvy and Lilian. Even more pronounced when she unlocks her advanced classes, which potentially have her walking around in heavy armor, wielding weapons bigger than herself.

* MagicKnight: The Magical Princess class, which combines magical attacks, melee (sword) attacks and defensive spells. They're quite powerful, but burn through their [=TP=] quickly, which makes them somewhat difficult to play at lower levels.

* NinjaMaid: Maids in this universe are either actual maids or spies. On missions, they tend to work in units of five, which are usually well-balanced. Some maids focus on melee, others on healing and so on.

* OverprotectiveDad: Melvy's father goes so far as using his position as head of the Royal Order to sent Monica to spy on Fried and anyone else who comes close to his daughter. Especially Fried, though.

* RandomEffectSpell: The Roulette Circus, Magic Box and Showtime techniques, learned by the Spieler class line, function like this.
* SacrificialRevivalSpell: A variation: Maids can learn a skill that sacrifices all of their own [=TP=] and distribute it among the characters of your chosing. The Maid stays alive, however, and since her skills cost no [=TP=], she can still function to her full ability

* SkillPointReset: In the form of a level reset, which sets the character back to level 1, 15, 30, 50 or 90; each rank getting unlocked once the character reaches it. This sets a character back to the chosen level, changes them back to their base class and refunds all the skillpoints they would have at said level (3 at level 1, 18 at level 15 and so on). If a character is set back to level 1 from level 61 or above, they will also gain permanent stat boosts. This allows for the player to experiment with different classes and builds.

* TechPoints: Each level up awards one and they're needed to unlock skills and to improve them. Somewhat confusingly, the game uses the term 'Tech Points' as stand-in for {{Mana}}, which fuels actual skill use in and outside of battle.

* {{Meganekko}}: Fried and Monica. Melvy puts on a pair of glasses, too, if she becomes a witch.

The game garnered notoriety before its American release when Atlus announced the game would have to be [[{{getting crap past the radar}} mildly censored]] to avoid an AO rating from the ESRB.
