The berries being bitter isn't really a spoiler. I think you don't need to find too many Lore Books to reach the one that explains this. You first give them to Diana in Chapter 2 as well, which explains that they're not meant for eating.

** The Forsaken Lands and Termite Kingdom are hinted at back in Chapter 2. In the tunnel leading to the Golden Path, a withered sign with most of the letters missing can be found by [[BrokenBridge a rock roadblock.]] Even with the letters faded, it's possible to make out that the sign is telling ants to stay out. Four chapters later, it is explained why.

** Reed's history with Tennent is deliberately kept vague, but the game implies it was not pretty. Artia's sidequest involves giving Tennent a note from Reed that the player is not allowed to read. Whatever was written on it makes Tennent give Team Snakemouth the paint they need without any further confrontation.

Added DiffLines:

* ScratchDamageEnemy: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. The Golden Seedling can only be damaged by the first hit of any attack and takes ten percent of that attack's damage, rounded up. Due to the small-numbers nature of the game, where dealing ten damage with any single-hit attack is quite the rarity, this means it functionally takes only one point of damage from any attack except under [[MinMaxing extremely specific builds]].

Likewise, the Explorer's Permit contains a mini crystal that stores battle data which can be used to fight previously defeated bosses and mini-bosses via the [[FunWithAcronyms B.O.S.S machine]]. Other important crystals include the large crystal in the Ant Mines that [[EscapeRope the Ant Compass]] always points back to and the mysterious "Mother Crystal" which is speculated to protect Bugaria from outside dangers. It is further theorised that crystal exposure can grant magical powers to bugs but tests have yet to bear results.
