''Black Closet'' is a detective game by Creator/HanakoGames. It is currently in beta, with a release date expected sometime in 2015.

You play as Elsa Jackson, a senior at St. Claudine's Academy and the new Student Council president. Every week, you are assigned a number of cases that you must solve with the help of your minions. But, of course, nothing is as it seems: there are mysteries to solve outside of your weekly cases, and there may very well be a traitor in your midst...

----
!!Tropes:

* BigSisterInstinct: Althea for Thaïs, to the point that she got a reputation for being violent due to how she would act toward anyone who bullied her.
* ChildhoodFriendRomance: If you romance Althea or Vonne.
* GuideDangIt: Some of the achievements, particularly the one that involves [[spoiler: driving Vonne so insane that she kicks Mallory and Rowan out of the Council]], are tricky to achieve without a guide. (Luckily, there are always the Hanako Games forums.)
* LiteralMinded: Rowan tends to be.
* TheMole: One of your minions is a traitor; the culprit is randomly generated at the start of each game. They will deliberately sabotage assignments and report on you to an unknown party. You can choose to expel them, or you can win their loyalty and extract the information they know instead.
* MySisterIsOffLimits: Unusually for this trope, it's the little sister who feels this way about the older one. Thaïs will not be happy if you romance Althea; she tries to break the two of you up and even quits the Student Council, though with the right dialogue choices you can get her to come back part-time.
* NewTransferStudent: Mallory; she was popular enough to get elected to the Student Council despite this.
* NoSocialSkills: Rowan is very quiet, gives blunt and literal answers to questions, and generally doesn't seem to like interacting with people much. It's reflected in-game as well, with her Social and Intimidation skills being the lowest of your minions (though she makes up for it with high Stealth and Observation).
* NonStandardGameOver: Your game ends if you fail to solve a plot case that Miss Talmage assigns you, or if you don't deal with the traitor in some way before the Harvest Festival.
* ReallyGetsAround: Althea.
* Yandere: [[spoiler: Vonne. You get an achievement for making her so jealous and paranoid that she starts kicking out other Student Council members.]]
