''Armortale'' is a {{Retraux}} PlatformGame, developed by [=RPG2=] Heaven and released for [[UsefulNotes/IBMPersonalComputer PC]] through UsefulNotes/{{Steam}} on November 15th, 2019.

It is set in a fantasy land, where a dark tower had shown up out of nowhere one day, and soon, various monsters began to emerge from it. In particular, a pair of demon baby foxes were not content with commoner pranks like tearing the tails of little piggies, but have also set their sights on the princess, causing her sleep paralysis every night. Yet, they were ultimately banished back to the tower by a hero of legend, who wielded 4 legendary armor sets.

It was thought that they would be trapped there forever, and they did spend centuries inside. Now, however, they are back out, kidnapping the princess and causing all sorts of mischief, and it's up to the great great great great great great grandson of the original hero to get the armor sets from the Wise Witch and deal with the foxes again!

!!Tropes present in Armortale:
* OneUp: These can be purchased with the gold found on the levels.
* BlobMonster: Orange slimes are the most basic opponent in the game.
* DamselInDistress: The princess is kidnapped by the demon foxes and kept in a cage over a pool of lava.
* DefeatEqualsExplosion: Every single boss gets a series of explosions going across their body once their healthbar is depleted and before they fade out.
* DemBones: Some levels have skeletons as the rank-and-file enemy.
* DualBoss: You'll eventually face both of the demon foxes at once. [[spoiler:Then, they'll merge into one blob that hovers in mid-air, and fight in this manner up until you finally defeat them and they are forced to split up.]]
* EverythingFades: The basic enemies fade out almost instantly when defeated. The bosses will first get an explosion animation, but leave no trace besides the treasure chest as well.
* EvilLaugh: The foxes will regularly do a mocking giggle when fought.
* ExcusePlot: There's little story in the game, and what there is gets clearly PlayedForLaughs, since it was always intended as a LighterAndSofter throwback.
* FlashOfPain: Enemies flash red, green or blue when hit, depending on which color will contrast the most with their own body.
* FlunkyBoss: Every boss besides the demon foxes.
** Slime Queen summons two basic slimes whenever it drops onto the ground after hovering in midair.
** Fat Crow will at first do nothing and just summon basic and large crows.
** Giant Wurm will spawn small worms out of its rear end, and will also have small carrot-like monsters pop out of the ground to help.
** Giant crab boss also summons the basic crabs, though they won't actually stick around for long and will instead disappear into the water as soon as they reach the edge of the screen.
** The dragon boss will periodically disappear off the screen and summon waves of small dragons from first one edge of the screen, then the other. These will simply fly in a straight line and won't come back, so all the player really needs is to pick a position and shoot all the small dragons directly in their way, without worrying about the rest.
** The goblin king has no attacks of his own, and instead either summons crows from the nest on his head, or four basic goblins from the edges of the screen. These are so aggressive that they'll end up clubbing each other if you just jump out of their way, so you'll only need to finish the final one off.
* GiantEnemyCrab: There's a giant crab boss, who is fought on the river bank after you cross it on a boat. At first, the boat itself is a safe spot, as he'll never do his pincer slam on it for some reason. Then, it'll start doing its ranged attack along with summoning the basic crabs.
* GroundPound: The only real ability of the Slime Queen is to hover in mid-air and then drop down at the player's last location, which will also summon a couple of slimes. The crab boss can also jump down and slam both pincers into the ground, which causes boulders to fall from a rock face above the arena, along with basic crabs.
* HeroicMime: The protagonist never says a word.
* InexplicableTreasureChests: Defeating every single boss results in a treasure chest somehow spawning in the middle of the map.
* KingMook: Essentially ''every'' boss outside of the demon foxes is one. First, there's the Slime Queen, which is simply a very large slime that can drop down and summon more slimes. The next one is Fat Crow, which is so monstrously overfed it doesn't get up and move once, and instead summons other crows and eventually starts vomiting toxic bubbles. Then, there's the giant crab boss, the dragon boss (preceded by tiny dragons in its area) and the chieftain of a goblin tribe.
* PlatformBattle: Both the dragon boss and the third stage of the FinalBoss have the player fight on a constrained set of platforms.
* PowerFloats: The demon foxes easily float in midair as they cast their volleys of spells. However, they'll eventually overextend and have to spend a good amount of time on the ground to recuperate, while completely immobile and defenceless.
* RedEyesTakeWarning: The demon foxes have red eyes. During the battle with the second one, the screen will periodically go completely dark, and the only way to locate the boss is by the eyes' red glow.
* ShockwaveStomp: If the giant crab boss slams just one pincer into the ground, it'll somehow cause a red saber-like piece of his shell to fly off in a straight line, though it can be comfortably jumped over.
* SpikesOfDoom: Since this is a game inspired by the classics, sharp metal spikes were too classic a hazard to pass up.
* SpinToDeflectStuff: The spin attack of the red armor set will also deflect the projectiles away from the player.
* SpreadShot: The purple dragon boss fires a spread of three purple projectiles from the mouth.
* SuperSpit: Once its health gets about halfway down, Fat Crow will start vomiting out a stream of damaging toxic bubbles for quite a long time. Luckily, the red armor set's spinning move will deflect the bubbles away.
* TacticalSuicideBoss: After the FinalBoss evolves into its final, hovering form, you are dropped into a room where you can only stand on one of four pillars, as the floor is flooded with lava. The boss will eventually destroy three of these platforms, seemingly at no harm to itself...and then, instead of likewise slamming into the final one and letting the player drown in lava, it chooses to shoot projectiles that are easily deflected backwards.
* TennisBoss: The final stage of the FinalBoss is about deflecting its projectiles back at it.
* TemporaryPlatform: Wise Witch's pet crows act as these, as they'll fade away soon after the player jumps on them. Luckily, they'll also respawn endlessly both at her tower, and during the two boss battles where their presence is required.
* WingdingEyes: The Giant Crab boss gets his eyes replaced by [=Xs=] once he gets defeated and right before he explodes.
