* My new, massive whopper of a theory:[[VideoGame/KidIcarusUprising Palutena]] is TopGod of the pantheon, but spends most of her power keeping Pit under control, because he's actually a fallen angel who would destroy the world if she didn't. It sounds insane, but there is actually tons of evidence.
** First of all, to prove Palutena is TopGod, all we have to do is look at what she does while Chaos Kin is in control. The shield and throwing pieces of the temple around are beyond even what Hades could do (In fact, almost everything he does that isn't physically his own body smashing stuff is surprisingly small scale, even his "ultimate attack"). Furthermore, if Palutena can only let Pit fly for 5 minutes at a time, how can she throw a floating island hundreds of times his weight and not break a sweat? And the Chaos Kin didn't strengthen her; it can create enemies, but has no "godlike" powers of any kind. The only deities we see do anything on the level of the nigh unbreakable shield and throwing floating islands around are Poseidon parting the sea and arguably Hades's massive size and strength. Thus, Pautena is on the level of two of the trio of the strongest Olympians, and Zeus is nowhere to be seen. But given not only Palutena's power, but that her home is Skyworld, in the sky, which is Zeus's official domain, she looks suspiciously like a stand-in for Zeus. Except she never uses her extreme power much, as if she's using the vast majority of it on something else.
** And now for why Pit is a fallen angel. First of all, it's odd that the image of Pit was fully formed before he crashes through the mirror, but Dark Pit's differences were {{Hand Wave}}ed by him apparently being an "incomplete" copy. It seems far more likely that he ''is'' the truth. Add to that the fact that Viridi dismisses Pit and claims that angels are "messengers of the gods," and yet Pit and Dark Pit are the only angels to be seen. It seems like they should be commonplace, and yet they're incredibly rare. On top of that, everyone knows what an angel is, meaning that even though they're never seen, they're common knowledge. This suggests, but doesn't quite prove, that the Christian God and angels exist on a level above the Palutena-Hades-Viridi pantheon. The proof is the existence of the [[https://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/kidicarus/images/d/d4/Crusader_Blade.png/revision/latest?cb=20140917050534 Crusader Blade]]. Not only is it shaped like a cross, which wouldn't quite prove the presence of Christianity in a primarily Greco-Roman world, given that the Romans used it for capital punishment, but its name references the Crusades, holy wars fought by the Catholic Church. The existence of Christianity in this world, of course, doesn't prove that it's canonically true, but coupled with Pit being an angel who is strong enough to kill even the strongest deities out there, and him being dismissed as a "messenger of the gods" is clearly Viridi hiding her fear of him as a messenger of God. And if he's an actual angel, why would he be working for Palutena? Because she wiped his memories and lied to him to make him do it, which both Hades and Medusa hint at. His wings would burn up after five minutes, not because of a limit, but because Palutena needs to restrict his ability to fly to stop him from falling for good. Or maybe the burning is him completing the final stages of falling. But given this information, it's easy to see that Dark Pit shows that Pit is a fallen angel, because his rebellious personality lines up perfectly with the attitude an angel would take to get cast out of Heaven. His personality and Pit's even line up in some worrying ways, like their mutual love of the battle cry and their witty commentary. In fact, Pit's obedience is implied to be Palutena keeping him on a short leash, since she joked about it with Hades and Viridi without even denying it.
** The Chaos Kin arc does appear to poke a few plot holes in this theory, but the explanations are fairly simple. Palutena sealed Pit in the ring before the Chaos Kin took over, to stop it from controlling him. Then, Viridi acts so friendly towards Pit and much less... [[KnightTemplar Viridi]] than before because Palutena told her the truth and what was at stake, and so she stopped Pit from going SuperpoweredEvilSide in Palutena's place, focusing on saving Palutena because she couldn't keep it up for very long. Palutena had the power she did in that arc because she no longer had to hold Pit back for a little bit, and she didn't use it on him during the battle because the Chaos Kin wanted to claim the power of a fallen angel for itself, just like it targeted Dark Pit, and just the next chapter Hades said he wanted to get ahold of Pittoo's soul. Dark Pit doesn't have full fallen angel power because the Mirror must have had limits to how much power it can copy(although it should be noted that Dark Pit is both tougher and more powerful than Pit at proper difficulty levels, supporting that Pit is stronger than he thinks... just not in a good way). Thus, it's likely that Pit truly is the most powerful Nintendo character of all time.

* The deal with my Tropers:The Series robots: I am still me. Robo-me has a cosmetic bullet hole in his chest, and can shoot eye lasers. Both of me have a copy of me, called lil' Pete after Petey from Webcomic/SchlockMercenary, in my pairs of glasses, which let lasers through without taking any damage. Buddy is more or less made out of duct tape. [=DirkLBot=] looks like [[Webcomic/{{Homestuck}} Dirk Strider]], and is under the control of the Status Quo. All robots have my personality and memories.
