* FranchiseOwnershipAcquisition: Upon Malibu comics' bankruptcy in 1994, Marvel bought the ''Ultraverse'' series. While some characters associated with the series made appearances in some Marvel titles in the 1990s, but from 2000 onward not appeared since. Creator/{{Disney}}, who in turn bought Marvel in 2009, has so far shown no interest in reviving the Ultraverse franchise for some reasons explained in further detail under other entries on this page.
