Since Pink Panther and Sons is on the MGM-run You Tube page, HB isn't a problem

** ''Pink Panther and Sons'' is presumably held by Creator/WarnerBros Television (they hold the rights to the Creator/HannaBarbera library, Turner Broadcasting having bought H-B in 1991 and Turner having merged with Time Warner in 1996- ironically, Turner had acquired a majority of MGM's backlog of stuff in 1986), so barring an agreement between them and MGM, it's off the table for now.

* ScrewedByTheLawyers: For ''Pink Panther and Sons''; the many spin-off shorts aside from ''The Inspector'' and possibly ''The Ant and the Aardvark'') might also be in this trope, given that MGM hasn't distributed them in years and the fact that the DFE library is fractured (currently the non MGM and WB stuff is owned by Creator/{{Disney}}; DFE eventually turned into Marvel Productions (owned by Creator/MarvelComics), which got absorbed into Creator/SabanEntertainment, which then got bought by Disney in 2001 alongside Creator/{{Freeform}} and Creator/FoxKids).

* AuthorExistenceFailure: Creator/PeterSellers died during planning of the unmade ''Romance of the Pink Panther''. Initially there were plans to film it anyway as a Creator/DudleyMoore vehicle, but he wanted Creator/BlakeEdwards to direct it, and he didn't like that script; Moore moved on while Edwards made ''Trail'' and ''Curse'' instead.

Added DiffLines:

* DiedDuringProduction: In 1980, Creator/PeterSellers was co-writing a script for the series for the first time, ''Romance of the Pink Panther'', that he intended as a GrandFinale. He submitted a revised draft of it to Creator/UnitedArtists shortly before his death in 1980. It ultimately was never produced. Creator/BlakeEdwards decided to continue the series his own way (he was quite specifically not to have anything to do with ''Romance''), writing out Clouseau and introducing new character Clifton Sleigh over two films shot at the same time, ''Film/TrailOfThePinkPanther'' (which featured clips of Sellers from the previous films) and ''Film/CurseOfThePinkPanther''. The results were disastrous.

* ScheduleSlip: An unusual example that happened because of highly inconsistent orders from United Artists: the original cartoons ran from 1964 to 1969, took a year long break to return with 9 new shorts in 1971, then ''3 more years'' passed before two more shorts got released in 1974 (at a very inconsistent and random placement), before the series finally got back to having regular releases between 1975 and 1977, then ''another break'' took place between 1977 and 1978 after which the made for TV shorts (noticeable for being much more KidFriendly) were released at a regular pace until 1980.

** "Psychedelic Pink" is truly a product of [[TheSixties the late 1960s]]; just the title alone gives it away!
** "Think Before You Pink" has the Pink Panther trying to cross a busy intersection with a pedestrian crossing signal that uses the words "DON'T WALK" and "WALK." After the 20th century ended, the number of pedestrian signals with said words began to quickly decrease, due to many of them being replaced with modern signals using orange hand and white walking body symbols (along with countdown timers at more busy or dangerous intersections.)

* {{Composers}}: For the theatrical shorts, Bill Lava composed for every short from 1964 to 1966. He was succeeded by Walter Greene, who only scored a few cartoons before his cues (plus some by Lava) were [[RecycledSoundtrack recycled]] for every short well into the mid 70s. By 1978, an uncredited Steve [=DePatie=] started composing new cues that were used until the series concluded in 1980.
