* OldShame: Graham will almost always try (good-naturedly, of course) to dig out some of the more embarrassing things his guests ever did:

** Creator/BilliePiper's early music career.
** Creator/PeterCapaldi hilariously cringing at his old modeling photos, the punk band he was in with Creator/CraigFerguson, or his childhood letters to the ''Doctor Who'' producers.
** Creator/HarrisonFord accidentally punching Creator/RyanGosling in the face for real while filming ''Film/{{Blade Runner 2049}}''.
** On that same note, any time the Oscars ''Film/LaLaLand''[=/=]''Film/{{Moonlight}}'' mix-up is mentioned to a guest who was at the event that had a notable reaction. (i.e. Creator/RyanGosling's stifled laugh, Creator/NaomieHarris - who was in ''Film/{{Moonlight}}'', the film that did end up winning - describing the chaos or Creator/DwayneJohnson's concerned people's eyebrow) Graham even went as far to actually ''get'' Creator/WarrenBeatty on to talk about it.
** [[Series/{{Friends}} Matt LeBlanc]] doing a film with a baseball-playing chimpanzee[[note]]not even a real one, ''just an animatronic robot''[[/note]].
** Needling Creator/BenedictCumberbatch for his chronicly pronouncing "penguins" as "pengwings".
** Creator/ChristophWaltz hosting a children's educational show.
** Making Creator/GeorgeClooney apologize for ''Film/BatmanAndRobin'' ([[RunningGag for the]] [[NeverLiveItDown umpteenth time]]).
** Creator/ColinFarrell's various bad haircuts in movies (prompting Farrell to joke a bit about some of the bad reviews he received for ''Film/{{Alexander}}'', including how he [[NotEvenBotheringWithTheAccent probably shouldn't have had an Irish accent]]).
** Subverted with Creator/KirstenDunst and a commercial she did as a child for a toy called Baby Uh-Oh, where she was happy to see it again. She explained that when the kids at school would make fun of her for it, she would gleefully respond by telling them how much money she made.
** If Graham won't do it, the other guests will (cf. [[Series/TheOsbournes Sharon Osbourne]] recalling Creator/ColinFarrell's sex tape, [[Series/FreshMeat Jack Whitehall]] making a joke about Creator/JohnnyDepp's then-recent customs incident while he was on the couch - which Johnny took in stride and even took the mick out of himself - or Creator/StephenFry and Robert Duvall ribbing Creator/RobertDowneyJr for his time in rehab).
** A rare in-universe case. In one episode, Creator/TomHiddleston performed an impression of Creator/RobertDeNiro from ''Film/{{Heat}}'' in front of the latter (to De Niro's amusement). He humorously admitted in his next appearance on the program that it had instantly left him incredibly embarrassed.
** Creator/SarahPaulson smelling Music/{{Cher}}'s hair unbeknownst to her. Cher was on the episode after this, but it wasn't brought up. It was brought up on Sarah's next appearance, in which she then told Graham that she ended up meeting her not long after that and said that she had no idea that she was smelling her hair.
** Digging up an old Japanese TV ad that Creator/JenniferConnelly did as a teenager and the jingle she sang that happened to become a hit. She barely remembered doing it and could only cringe when forced to watch it.

* ShootTheMoney: Most episodes end with audience members telling stories in the Big Red Chair, with nonsensical[=/=]boring[=/=]disgusting[=/=]disturbing[=/=]etc. stories result in chair being flipped back and the storyteller being booted off. The chair was originally made for a one-off segment as a tribute to Creator/RonnieCorbett's signature showcase on ''Series/TheTwoRonnies'', but the chair and the necessary hydraulics were so expensive to make and use that the producers turned it into a recurring segment in order to justify the cost.

* AwesomeDearBoy: Dame Creator/HelenMirren alludes to this, saying she'd love to star in ''Film/TheFastAndTheFurious'' films because they look like a lot of fun. She eventually got her wish and was featured in ''The Fate of the Furious''.

** Creator/PeterCapaldi hilariously cringing at his old modeling photos.

** Needling Creator/BenedictCumberbatch for his chronic inability to pronounce "penguins".
