* NoExportForYou: Averted in that this game would see a release outside its native Japan, specifically in North America (where it would be renamed "Dark Legend") and much later Europe (via the Platform/PlayStationNetwork). Played straight in that an UpdatedRerelease for the Platform/SegaSaturn, ''Suiko Enbu: Fuunsaiki'', has remained available only in Japan.

* DummiedOut: The original arcade version includes data for a character similar to Shi Jin (who differs by having gray skin and some different versions of and unique from Shi Jin) called "Koenshaku". Given that Koenshaku is the Japanese name rendering of "Huyan Zhuo", who is present in the console version of this game, it can be assumed that Huyan Zhuo was planned to be in the arcade version initially but had been scrapped. A video displaying this unused scrapped character can be viewed here for those interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADTUBYjP6nQ
