As the Simulant Lieutenant makes it clear that they have become too damaged in the battle to return fire, The Simulant Captain says that they "will find their corpse has a sting in its tail" regarding the Armageddon Virus, before his death is seen.

* InstantlyProvenWrong: Janet Street Porter, at the time working as an executive at BBC 2, read the script and declared that it would be impossible to film. She was informed that shooting had already finished a week ago.

* OnSetInjury: While filming the scene where Kryten makes him come out of AR, Creator/CraigCharles injured his groin by forgetting to remove the groinal attachment before walking away.

* ItWillNeverCatchOn: When then-BBC liaison Janet Street-Porter read the script, she found the concept was stupid, didn't feel it could be feasibly done and ordered that the episode be scrapped. Unfortunately for her, by the time the memo arrived, the episode had already been shot and was in the midst of post-production, went on to win an international Emmy Award, and is still regarded as one of the best episodes among fans.

* ActorAllusion: When Rimmer says "I'm Dangerous Dan [=McGrew=], bare fist fighter extraordinaire", Chris Barrie puts on an American accent very similar to his impression of UsefulNotes/RonaldReagan in ''Series/SpittingImage''. Reagan also appeared in a number of westerns during his acting career.
