** Moves that give extra turns to an ally are commonly known as "Turn Transfers" in the community, as they functionally give the user's turn to whichever ally they decide to target.
** A few monsters are so well known that many refer to them simply by a vague, short descriptor that nevertheless pertains primarily to the referenced monster. For example, if you use the name "bird" and you're talking about the Cosmic meta, most people will know you're talking about [[TierInducedScrappy Vanoss2099]].
** Speaking of [[TierInducedScrappy Tier-Induced Scrappies]], particularly bad monsters will be given {{Portmanteau}}s of their names with... less-than-flattering terms about their viability. Again referring to the Cosmic Era, Thundercrap / Thunderkrap (Thunderkong) and Trashgon (Targon) are some of the more common variants.
** As mentioned below in WhatCouldHaveBeen, most of the community prefers to use Morgz' beta name Dielab over his actual name, for obvious reasons.
** Within the Corrupted Era, Rattacker is a very popular term used to refer to the use of Master Rat as an attacker, famous for being the complete opposite of his intended use (he was created to be a '''support''').

** Hayman was often seen by the fandom as a MemeticBadass for a long time, despite being considered an awful Support Legendary even before the game's overwhelming PowerCreep. As part of the game's 2021 Halloween event, Hayman was given a huge spotlight, not only receiving his own Era Saga, but also a '''tremendous''' buff that puts his stats on par with most Mythic monsters and updates his movepool to be more versatile and powerful.

* AscendedMeme: Crosses with IKnewIt During the Corrupted Era, many people predicted that [[spoiler:Nebotus]] would turn out to be the Lord, partially as a meme (as [[spoiler:Nebotus was infamous for his status as one of the worst Legendary monsters to exist]]), and partially because the few physical descriptors given matched up perfectly ([[spoiler:a monster of Darkness, having feet to walk, carrying a sword]]). With the reveal at the end of Wickah's Era Saga and a leak soon afterwards, this prediction was exactly correct.

Even better, his extended backstory also makes reference to said status, even having it as [[spoiler:his]] primary motive.

* OfficialFanSubmittedContent: Everything about the monsters Wyrmlad and Sir Valgar, save for their appearance and description, were picked out from fan submissions on Facebook.
** On the other side of the coin, the designs of Moonhaze and Dark-Er were winners in drawing contests also hosted on Facebook.

** A number of monsters have had different traits before their official release, almost all of which were first seen in official leaks. Examples include:
*** Most infamously, the Cosmic Atrox was originally meant to have a Status Caster for [[ArmorPiercingAttack Pierce]] at Rank 3. It was even put into the Monstagram that way before it was edited to give him Precision instead.
*** Another Cosmic denier, Fract-Bot, was going to give its entire team Double Stamina, but in-game it only gives it to itself.
