* WagTheDirector: In the script, Natalie was meant to ''win'' in a LandslideElection rather than lose by one. Creator/TraylorHoward lobbied the producers to change this, firstly because Natalie becoming school superintendent would lead to too many logical problems in how she'd both do that job and work for Monk (which in turn would most likely lead to her new position [[StatusQuoIsGod being swept under the rug and never mentioned again]]), and secondly because she felt that it was important to show viewers that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, sometimes you're just going to lose, potentially quite badly at that.
