** None of the three anime series from 1964, 1971, and 1985 are available on DVD or streaming, probably due to the aforementioned rights issues that affected the manga. As a result, many of the episodes are hard to come by nowadays. Despite this, the 1985 anime is easier to find. Some of the episodes were released across multiple VHS volumes. Additionally, it airs every now and then on Tele-Asa Channel 1.

Author Existence Failure (now renamed to Died During Production) is a trope for dying before finishing a work, not when a creator's death created a complicated legal situation.

* AuthorExistenceFailure: When Fujiko Fujio split up, both men retained the rights to the series. This made the rights very complex when Fujiko F. Fujio died. When Fujiko F. Fujio died, the series went out of print before all of the stories had been published. Some comics were never released until 2018.
