* ExecutiveMeddling: According to Fielding Shredder's interview with the Vinwiki Youtube channel, the executives behind Hyperdrive were not car people and didn't entirely understand how to run what was essentially a gymkhana competition. Apparently, the contestants were not allowed to practice on the actual course before making their timed runs. There was a practice area, but that consisted of a skidpad and a cone slalom. This complete ban on practice made Walk on Water even worse, as none of the contestants knew how deep the water was until they made their qualifying run.
* PropRecycling: The Leveler was originally used in a Toyota commercial demonstrating the torque and braking ability of their Tundra pickup, as seen in this ad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeZ0hLTg0sM
