** After a number of fans pointed out that, since he has Piccolo's regeneration powers, Cell could just cut off his leg to remove the bracelet with no consequence, the first bits of episode 2 has him trying, and Raditz saying that, since their souls are basically indestructible, it's a lost cause (which was confirmed in teh ''DBZA'' commentary by Lani and Kaiser to specifically address this tactic); and that they wouldn't be given the bracelets if it was possible to remove them, nor any objects with which to do so. It also points out other aspects of why no one has tried to escape -- Raditz tried, but the ki suppressors are also trackers, and even if that wasn't the case, there's nowhere to escape to. There ''was'' an exit (the one Goku used to escape Hell), but it's been boarded up.

* YouSoundFamiliar: Connor "[=DistortionDevil" McKinley=] first played Paragus in the Abridged Broly movie, along with some bit parts during ''DBZA'''s third season before playing [[spoiler:Cooler]] in ''HFIL''.

* AscendedMeme: Zarbon's "Mmmm~", previously limited to ''Abridged Kai'', has not only made its way into the main continuity but is also his first line in ''HFIL''. And the second line. And the third line.

[[https://youtu.be/nq1mlObn9sk?t=520 As revealed in the Talkcast Podshow]], the premiere of this series was originally intended to be in April 2021, but TroubledProduction on the installment of ''WebAnimation/DragonShortZ'' that was expected to be ready for the Spring Showcase made TFS debut this series instead to occupy the vacancy, as the first episode was already mostly finished.
* SpoiledByTheCastList: Averted. Both Lanipator and Connor "[=DistortionDevil" McKinley=] are listed in the video description of Episode 9 as playing two characters known as "B" and "C" respectively. The credits of the episode itself omits the letters, but still includes [=McKinley=]'s name in the list of voice actors. TheStinger shows that Lanipator and [=McKinley=] voice [[spoiler:Bojack and Cooler]] respectively.
* UncreditedRole: Due to the above mentioned inversion of ScheduleSlip, the final polishing of the first episode was somewhat rushed, leading to Creator/KaiserNeko accidentally neglecting to credit Creator/LittleKuriboh for his RoleReprise as Freeza in the first episode’s credits.

** Mez and King Cold, who were originally voiced by Creator/Hbi2k, are now voiced by Stephan Krosecz and WebVideo/DevilArtemis respectively.

* PromotedFanboy: WebVideo/DevilArtemis started making his own "Cell Vs" videos inspired by the ones from ''WebVideo/DragonBallZAbridged'', now he's working with Creator/TeamFourStar in ''HFIL''.
