* FlipFlopOfGod: It has been stated at different times that Cloak and Dagger were mutants whose powers that hadn't developed yet got warped by the drug or that they are just mutates whose powers specifically came from the drug. Also how much magic was inexplicably involved. Dagger's father is explicitly described as a mutant and has powers [[SuperpowerfulGenetics from the same source]]. This carries over into making them members of the Dark X-Men during [[{{ComicBook/DarkReign}} Dark Reign]]. The current consensus seems to be that they're magical mutates.
