* DiedDuringProduction: Shari Lewis was only able to tape three episodes of the second season before she was diagnosed with cancer. The episodes aired five months after her death.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: Like [[Series/LambChopsPlayAlong its sister series]], only a few segments were released on home video as they were able to clear the music rights to them. It used to air on Kids & Teens' TV and PBJ for a while...until rights holder Creator/DreamWorksAnimation was bought by Creator/{{Universal}} and took the show off television along with a few others in the Classic Media catalog.

* DuelingShows: In the fall of 1998, the show had competition in the form of ''Series/TheNoddyShop'', which also had the premise of an elderly person running a shop alongside their animal friends. Because of the circumstances listed in the trope above, as well as due to poor scheduling and being overshadowed by ''Series/{{Teletubbies}}'' premiering at the same time, ''The Noddy Shop'' became the more popular show.
