* WorkingTitle: During the ''WesternAnimation/{{Superjail}}'' portion of the History of Adult Swim marathon, the show was referred to as ''Ballmastrz: '''9669''''' instead of ''9009''. According to Christy Karacas on the adult swim podcast, he just thought the symmetry of the numbers was nice, but was told by executives it was just a bit too crude to be the title of the show.

* CastingGag:
** The Ashigari Princesses are an obvious ''Anime/SailorMoon'' parody and to drive it home, Creator/StephanieSheh [[note]] (the current English voice of Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon herself) [[/note]] voices their leader, Luna.
** Jessica [=DiCicco=] plays [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls yet another anime-inspired and unbalanced woman.]]
*** She's also, yet again, playing a [[WesternAnimation/TheLoudHouse young and energetic kid with a sports fixation.]] Ace even sounds almost exactly like Lynn.

There seems to have been some mixup in the initial press release; the Dieter episode's dialogue makes it pretty clear that Aboo Boovu is a *place*. Meanwhile, closed captioning refers to the newscaster ball as "Blabber Ball", and he even references "blabbering" in one of his lines.

** Creator/EricBauza voices Flip Champion and Aboo Buvu.
