** Creator/HaroldRamis hated the final movie so much that he fought to get his credits off the film. While he successfully had his executive producer credit removed, his writing credits stayed.
** Director Mark Lester went on to say that he was also disappointed with how it turned out, stating that he had a hard time shooting story-based scenes from Candy and Levy just wanting to tell jokes, and by the end he basically just felt like he was doing nothing more than filming for them.
* HostilityOnTheSet: As stated above, Mark Lester clashed with the actors quite a few times, and at certain points even walked off set in frustration, leaving producer Brian Grazer having to take over for the day.

* CreatorBacklash: Creator/JohnCandy went on to say that he was frustrated with how the film turned out, feeling that the funnier bits were either removed or too edited in the final cut. It didn't really help that he was basically strongarmed into it by a contract that he was locked into, though he did say that he enjoyed the shooting experience.

* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The movie had originally been greenlit years earlier and was set to star Creator/DanAykroyd and Creator/JohnBelushi. When the shooting was delayed and Belushi passed away, he was replaced by Creator/HaroldRamis. Eventually, it changed to starring Aykroyd and Creator/JohnCandy, with Creator/JohnCarpenter directing. Finally, both Carpenter and Aykroyd dropped out, Eugene Levy and Mark Lester were brought in, and the film began filming. Candy himself said that most of the experience was him having "a contract and no movie".
