* WesternAnimation/TheBlackCauldron: Gurgi has been widely criticized for his annoying voice, tendency to abandon his own friends in the face of danger, and lacking his more engaging traits from the books like fighting alongside Taran and the others.
** Creeper, given his tendency to break the mood during some of the Horned King's more genuinely frightening scenes.
** For some folks, Taran qualifies as one. Many people find his bragging annoying, and they do not like how he patronizes Eilonwy in a sexist way ("What does a girl know about swords, anyway!?"). Sadly, this is actually fairly accurate to Book!Taran, and losing this arrogance is part of his character arc in the book series, which the cancellation of any sequels prevented being shown.

* WesternAnimation/TheLandBeforeTimeXIIITheWisdomOfFriends: The Yellow Bellies, particularly Loofah and Doofah, are, bar none, the most hated characters in the franchise and a major reason why this film is seen as the worst by the fandom. It's bad enough that they're annoying, what with their shrill voices and a tendency to goof around at the expense of the gang, but they're the focal characters of the film and the only reason much of the film's events happen is that they're too stupid for their own good and end up causing far more trouble than it's worth. That, and they do little to justify the Anvilicious moral message of the movie, which is to put trust and faith in your friends.

** Kissy the Kissing Fish for being overly cute and contributing little to the plot.
** Mercutio is probably the most hated of all, for making all sorts of annoying jokes (some of which are racist jokes), and making the distasteful line "This party looks dead" at the titular characters' funeral.

Wrong trope. Moving to Americans Hate Tingle.

* Gopher is not popular with British fans of the Franchise/WinnieThePooh animated adaptations of the original A.A. Milne books, as Gopher isn't in the original books. He was created in order to give the films more appeal to American audiences and is often criticized for being symbolic of the heavy Americanization the franchise has undergone under Disney. Furthermore, as gophers are native only to North and Central America, his inclusion has effectively changed the location of the Hundred Acre Wood (and other locations in the forest Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends live in) to the United States, whereas the original books are clearly set in England (specifically in Ashdown Forest, West Sussex).
** Gopher was excluded from the 2011 animated film and the 2018 live-action film Film/ChristopherRobin, as both were specifically designed to be a lot more faithful to the original books and thus more appealing to British audiences.

Hi-5 doesn't count since The Emoji Movie is almost universally despised, so any hatred the character gets is mostly just based on the movie itself, plus there are no fans to appreciate the movie as a whole, which is necessary for a work to have Scrappies.

* While none of the characters in WesternAnimation/TheEmojiMovie are particularly well-liked, nobody has anything nice to say about Hi-5. He's generally useless and steals screentime from the other characters, making him come off as annoying rather than funny. * WesternAnimation/Cars2: , the HiddenVillain. Though he's definitely a character that we're meant to root against, the character is one of Pixar's most unpopular villains due to a lack of memorability as well as an utterly nonsensical plan. spoiler:Creating a fake alternative fuel solely to sabotage it and make the idea of alternative fuel look bad is not only ridiculously impractical and convoluted, but comes off as especially pointless due to the film's implication that alternate fuel isn't even being used that much yet, and when Mater figures out that is the mastermind, many viewers have expressed both surprise and frustration that he was actually right. It doesn't help that the film already has an entertaining villain in the form of Professor Z, who is ultimately relegated to TheDragon in favour of the far less charismatic .

* Sunflower from the centaur segment in WesternAnimation/Fantasia is hated by many, especially actual black people, due to her being a blatant blackface character, to the point that Disney has removed her from the movie starting in the 70s. Compare several other racial stereotypes from other Disney films such as WesternAnimation/Dumbo, WesternAnimation/LadyAndTheTramp, and WesternAnimation/PeterPan that keep their roles in the original movies (albeit largely for plot reasons).

* While none of the characters in WesternAnimation/TheEmojiMovie are particularly well-liked, no one has anything nice to say about Hi-5. He's generally useless and steals screentime from the other characters, making him come off as annoying rather than funny.

* Gopher is not popular with British fans of the Franchise/WinnieThePooh animated adaptations of the original A.A. Milne books, as Gopher isn't in the original books. He was created in order to give the films more appeal to American audiences and is often criticised for being symbolic of the heavy Americanisation the franchise has undergone under Disney.

This isn't helped by the fact that Artie is essentially the deuteragonist of the movie, getting more focus than Donkey, Fiona or Puss while not having enough unique or likable traits of his own to make up for it. Despite his large role in Third, Artie didn't reappear in Forever After and subsequent specials (because Justin Timberlake was recording music at the time), and wasn't missed in the least.
