** The May 2024 Tag Duel tournament sheds a little more light on Yugo's insecurities by having him team up with Yuto, who bluntly points out when they lose that he has issues trusting anyone that isn't Rin. Yuto tries to reassure him that he's not alone anymore, but the key word is "tries" as Yugo refuses to admit he has a point, let alone that he considers his dimensional counterparts close to him.

** His interactions also reveal a key detail that was barely if ever touched upon in Arc-V proper: from the very beginning, ''no one'' high up in the Lancers' leadership trusted Dennis at all. Declan only allowed him to join in order to utilize him as a pawn, waiting for him to let his cover slip in order to gain insight into the Fusion Dimension's plans.
** While Shay won't allow Dennis to assist in bringing back the other Bracelet Girls, he does allow him one avenue of mercy in a manner similar to how Soulburner let Varis go: forcing Dennis to live on and continue working towards his goal of becoming a top-class Dueltainer. Celina more or less also tells him the same thing: if he ever wavers again, they'll both be lying in wait to take matters into their own hands.

By the end he admits that choosing to card himself (effectively committing suicide) was just him being a coward and running away from the consequences of his choices and actions. * Shay/Shun's event explores more of his mindset post-series, showing how ''broken'' he is in the aftermath of the war against the Fusion Dimension and the impact on his psyche that losing Lulu/Ruri and Yuto had on him. His first event has him left alone by Yuya to explore where he bitterly notes "I've already lost everything..." and he later accosts an LDS student by slipping into a rant about how bad he had it during Academia's attacks. Even after reuniting with Yuto his dialogue regularly references Lulu/Ruri, with him desperately clinging to the hope that she can be revived like Yuto, Yugo and Celina have to date.

* Whenever you look between Jaden's Tag Duel scenes between his Season 1-3 & Season 4 counterparts, you remember just how much he has changed from a cheery Duel-enjoying student to a more mature and hardened Duelist and it feels sadder that Season 4 Jaden admits that he has nearly forgotten how to Duel for fun after focusing on world-saving after he finishes the GX Cup.
