It's even worse in the original arcade version, where she flatout says that she'll be '''''killed''''', and it's entirely possible to run out of credits during the final level (with said level [[PointOfNoContinues limiting your credits to five]] beforehand), leaving you with no way to save her. Imagine being permanently stuck in a ForcedTransformation, on top of losing your girlfriend...
