Possibly because Sarah's first binding spell prevented Nancy from harming her directly, Nancy instead resorts to illusions. She uses visions of bugs, rats, snakes etc that Sarah herself told her about, and is actually banking on Sarah's history of self-harm to drive her to suicide. It's so unspeakably evil that she would betray her friend like that using such personal information that Sarah confided in her.
