* In "Boy Meets Bike", Sabrina obtains a magic bike with help from the Spooky Jar for Harvey, but Sheba (the bike) ends up bewitching Harvey and makes him a competitive jerk. What hurts the most is when Sabrina sneaks into Harvey's house to destroy the bike, only for Harvey to get angry and tell Sabrina to GetOut! It's implied that Harvey was still under Sheba's influence when he kicked Sabrina out, but it doesn't affect how harsh the moment is.

* In "Witch Switch", Sabrina switches her life with Gem's to get a better life, but learns the hard way that it's anything but easy. The Stones are cold and distant, while Gem finds out that she's become half-witch and uses her powers for selfish purposes. The scene where Sabrina visits Uncle Quigley to help her drives the point home when she finds out that not only does he not know who she is, but he's also lonely while the aunts [[AndIMustScream have been turned into a weathervane by Gem]].

** The ending: Gem laughs in Sabrina's face for hand-delivering a gift and inviting her to spend time with her family. She calls her a sucker for expecting nothing in return. She then looks around, realizing she's alone in the mansion apart from Nanny watching Christmas specials. Gem opens the gift and starts crying because Sabrina actually wanted to spend time with her but no one else does.

* The episode in which Gem Stone goes broke. Sure, it's nice to see some LaserGuidedKarma, but by the end of the episode Gem is genuinely broken and even questioning whether or not she was genuinely ''happy'' in her own home. When they strike oil on her property, Gem actually... isn't that excited to go back to her old life. Sabrina is smiling because Gem's out of her hair, but poor Gem looks ''quite'' sad at this... it's not hard to wonder if Gem really ''was'' right about not feeling genuinely happy.

* "A Witchmas Carole"
** Gem is even ''worse'' than usual, becoming TheGrinch and accusing everyone of ruining her Christmas. Her limo splattering a mall Santa collecting donations for charity. Her mother then gives her a wad of cash to donate to the less fortunate. When he strongly hints at her to do as her mother says, Gem says she's donating to her face and that should be enough charity for today. Sabrina is shocked. She finally loses it when Gem laughs at the idea of wrapping Christmas presents for homeless kids because she gets nothing out of it. No one stands up for Sabrina, who is humiliated.
** Quigley suggests that maybe being nice to Gem will do better than trying to scare her. Sabrina understandably dismisses that; Gem's cruelty seems to be above human methods. And at the very least, people being civil to her or dropping hints didn't work.
** Hilda as Christmas Past reveals that when she was a kid, Gem learned that if you cried your head off then you would get anything you wanted at Christmas. As Christmas Past bluntly puts it, she made everyone miserable, including her own Nanny. Gem seems to cry TearsOfRemorse, but it's because she took a now-collectible toy out of its original wrapping.
** Aunt Zelda as Christmas Present has Gem showing her that she was uninvited to Chloe's Christmas party, where everyone in her class makes fun of her for being a SpoiledBrat and demanding presents from people. Harvey joins in, which as Sabrina points out is not a great look for Gem since she has an obvious crush on the guy. Christmas Present points out that all Gem does is spend Christmas watching TV with her nanny, while her parents gloat about being free for the holidays when fleeing to Guam. Even ''this'' doesn't make Gem suffer a HeelRealization.
** The BadFuture that Sabrina shows Gem in the Christmas Carol parody has one moment of this. Sabrina as an adult goes for a friendly visit to see Gem, only for the latter to kick her out of the office building she owns because Sabrina asks Gem to give Harvey a job at her company. Gem likes Harvey, but she couldn't even allow for her kindness to lead to nepotism. Meanwhile, the present Sabrina as the Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come takes Gem several years into the future, where it's revealed Gem died in her thirties. No one mourns her, with her nanny kicking the glass that is preserving Gem's body. The most that Sabrina, Harvey, and Chloe do is pray outside her tomb and then go out for Chinese.
** Quigley's LifeIsntFair speech to Sabrina. He acknowledges that Sabrina was trying her hardest to motivate Gem to become a better person, but sometimes trying isn't enough. Gem is too ObliviouslyEvil, selfish, and stubborn to know that her deeds are making other people miserable and doesn't downright care if she dies alone and young. Desperate after this failure, Sabrina finally agrees to try Quigley's method with a bit of kindness and deliver a locket to Gem.

* Poor Edward in, "My Stepmother the Babe." He believes he's found someone he loves on an emotional and intellectual level, only for his jealous daughter to cast a spell on his bride-to-be and completely warp her personality into an immature pre-teen to become the stepmom she’s dreamed of. Thankfully the spell is said to wear off in a while - though not after Edward himself has been hit with it, and thoroughly embarrassing [[LaserGuidedKarma Sabrina in public]].

* One episode has Sabrina "Quested" with finding someone who has never experienced heartbreak before. Sure we get a laugh at Gem for having a very stupid reason for experiencing heartbreak... but we also see Harvey putting a ''lot'' of effort into an arcade game only to have the game get unplugged, Quigley missing a very rare flower blooming because he answered the phone, but what takes the cake are Zelda & Hilda's flashback. They are attempting to make an artist's career with beautiful paintings, but in their envy they wreck the painting of each other... until it's Cubist. This causes the artist to get noticed and get a career started, but he just ''blows'' both Hilda and Zelda off after that. Out of every instance, this and Quigley's are genuinely sad...
