* Ultimately, depending on how one feels and where one is in life, the manga as a whole usually reads either like this, or as a heartwarming experience. The - autobiographical - recount of the trials and tribulations of a deeply insecure, deeply troubled young woman, who struggles with depression (and mental illness more generally), great anxiety for the future, her sexuality, relationship with her parents and with other people, feelings of inadequacy and loneliness, and the quest to settle down into a more stable life through work and finding an apartment of her own, is ''extremely'' relatable, and can be very sad, frustrating, or upsetting to read, for a lot of people. Much of the praise heaped on the manga for its honesty illustrates this.
