* The scene from the end of episode 3, where Bardiche and Raising Heart are throwing up error messages to the people trying to fix them, telling them they don't have the right parts. The missing parts they are referring to are named CVK-792, or the Belka Cartridge System that their enemies are using, which are incredibly dangerous in the first place, but are more so for devices that have not been designed with that system in mind. The episode ends with a rather tense and melancholy BGM, with the word PLEASE written across the center of the screen in large print in the devices distinctive rune-script.

* In fact, pretty well all of episode 11 is one long TearJerker. The story spends the whole episode cycling between three settings. First is Fate in her heartbreaking LotusEaterMachine. The second has Nanoha fighting for her life as she desperately tries to reason with the despairing, perpetually-weeping avatar of the Book of Darkness. Finally, there's the Book's real personality talking to Hayate, sorrowfully telling her that she wants more than anything to give Hayate the happiness she wished... but she can't. Can't stop the out-of-control defense program, can't save any of their lives, can't do anything except let Hayate spend eternity dreaming of a life that can never be. And Hayate realizes how sad, lonely, and lost the Book of Darkness truly is: forced to live an endless cycle of destruction, doomed forever to kill the only people who could ever care for it.
