* Kento's first action as Calibur is to seal the Sword-Gun of Sound ''Suzune'', preventing Tetsuo from ever becoming Slash again. After Kento makes his leave and Reika exploits the situation to [[KickTheDog confiscate]] ''Hanselnuts to Gretel'', Tetsuo [[TroubledFetalPosition curls up into a ball]] and begins crying and screaming in grief while desperately clinging to what is now a useless hunk of metal and screaming its name in despair. The sheer magnitude of his despair makes it seem he lost a child rather than a weapon, which isn't too outlandish to believe since his clan forged the elemental Seiken.

* Oh, but the worst moment of all? '' '''[[spoiler:Kento's near death, by Calibur's hand]].''' ''
** [[spoiler:By the time Touma finds Kento, the latter is just barely clinging onto life. Once they begin to pinky-promise to save Luna together, Kento's hand falls short of Touma's and becomes despondent, leaving Touma to scream his name]].

* Kento is revealed to have survived his battle with Calibur, but only barely so: not only have his injuries left him limited in battle, he's also dying from the corruption Kurayami placed on him.

** What makes this worse is that after Kento succumbs to the darkness and fades, it is heavily implied he was absorbed into Kurayami...
*** It is confirmed in Sword of Logos that he has been sealed inside Kurayami, as Hayato trusted Kamijo with watching over Kento.

* Saber vs Calibur. The fight goes on, even when Saber loses the Lamp do Alangina robe book, but still uses Ikazuchi to fight.

** What hits even harder is the reason he came to this conclusion, and why [[EmptyShell his smile]] is gone: The Sword of Darkness Kurayami has shown him multiple futures where they try to stop the world from being destroyed and fail every single time, all because the swords are used at the same time, the seal is completed, and the Book of All is made, erasing the world except for him. Even when they're shown winning, it's immediately ripped from them... because they're still using the swords. Being forced to watch them die again and again slowly ate away at his mind and soul so that at the end of the montage showing all the futures he has seen, [[DespairEventHorizon he is shown laying in the darkness and shedding a single final tear]].

* As divisive as a character he is, it's hard ''not'' to feel bad for Ren this episode, following his defection from the Sword of Logos. Desiring to have Kento return to the side of good and fight together as comrades once more, Ren is only met with having his ass handed to him, and his Fuusouken Hayate getting sealed. With all that said and done, all Ren is left with is a former friend turning against him, a sword he can't even transform with anymore, and a completely shattered spirit.

** It's not even that he can't transform with. Kento only sealed half of Hayate, so it means he can't split the sword nor turn it into shuriken.

* Rintaro discovers the truth behind the Sword of Logos: [[spoiler:Master Logos himself]] is the traitor within the [=SoL=], that they have Sophia captured, and that the Divine Sages are all dead. He does ''not'' take it well.

* Ogami tried to slow Zooous down and got beaten within an inch of his life. To rub salt into the wound, Reika used this oppurtunity to steal Gekido.

** Something happens in the fight between Touma, Kento and Master Logos that creates an opening into Luna's prison. Touma immediately runs towards it, even dropping Rekka on the way, and reaches out to Luna, who does the same. The opening closes before either of them gets there, leaving Touma a [[TroubledFetalPosition sobbing wreck]] on the ground. Kento doesn't even use that opportunity to seal Rekka, having seen the future where that failed to accomplish anything anyways.

* Riku PTSD breakdowns whenever he remembers of the Kamiyama Book Store burning or the Fire Swordsman are extremely heart-wrenching, [[spoiler:specially because he is responsible for it and doesn't remember.]]

** Yuina was never able to move on, but even if she hated Kento because of her loss, she still wanted him to live on and that a bit of her love for him was what gave him the power he needed to save her from her own grudge. Unfortunately, Mumeiken had other plans and impaled itself in her, leaving her fatally wounded.
*** In hopes of trying to save her, Kento attempts to claim his own life with the Mumeiken, but Yuina stops him and scrambles to hide from him, as she wanted him to go and live his life, unaware that as soon as her own ended he would soon follow unwillingly.
** Mamiya luckily avoids death, but makes a sad realization that he didn't just fabricate Touma's memory, but his own were torn in two. By the time he realizes that he not only came close to killing Touma, Riku and Lucky, [[spoiler:would have killed his father figure, as his memories of his father are actually from Riku's perspective, and Lucky was his closest friend ever since the day he supposedly lost his father.]]

* Remember Yuri getting close to the wounded? He's actually healing them. Unfortunately, while it's heartwarming, it's also sad, since he fades away completely after that. Thank you, Sword(sman) of Radiance. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.
* After so many episodes of Touma trying to save her, the build up to the finale leads to the near-unthinkable: '''Luna's sacrifice'''. She initiates the same ritual like Isaac, only this time it's on her own terms and unites the other Seiken to form the ''Wonder Almighty'' Wonder Ride Book to give Touma and his two friends a better chance at defeating Storious. Goodbye, Luna. You were too good for this insane, trash-laden world...

* Not just the heroes, but also to Storious, who gave a long explanation of why he spiraled into madness: he was a passionate novelist, just like Touma, until the day he has read the contents of the Omniscient Book and saw that everything he wrote and will write already exists in its pages, and that his creations are merely a copy of a greater work, that made him realize how insignificant human life is in face of the secret of the whole universe and how they created nothing, that they were just copying off of a greater work.

** Ryo gets worn out and injured. He can only say his son's name as he lies on the ground
** Ryoga and Reika go all out on Diago and kill him at the cost of the ''Kaiji'' breaking and both seemingly dying. They reach out and call for each other on the ground.
