-->'''Bank manager:''' I want to move back home. I want to hug my wife. Protect my children, protect my daughter. I want to move on. Want to apologise. To everyone. Want to go to the theatre. I want to take clean cups out of the dishwasher and put them in the cupboard at home... and the next morning, I want to watch my wife drink from them.

* In episode five of season 1, Fleabag's father sees Godmother hit Fleabag and does nothing. He's a caring father in his own way, but his choice to consistently prioritize his relationship with a cruel and manipulative woman over his relationships with either of his children is heartbreaking.

* Claire having a miscarriage in the first episode of the second season.

to:

* Claire having a miscarriage in the first episode of the second season. The pain when she tells Fleabag to "keep her hands off [her] miscarriage" is palpable, especially her quiet insistence that "it's mine." And ''then'' having to hear her JerkAss husband (while thinking it was Fleabag's miscarriage) say that it was the baby's way of saying it didn't want to have her as a mother.
* In a way, Claire snapping at Fleabag after the office party and telling her that she has her own jokes and special skills. Though she's clearly outdone Fleabag in terms of career success, it's clear she's still very insecure knowing that for all of her levelheaded responsibility, Fleabag will always be more naturally likable and charismatic than she is, and she's had to spend a lifetime being outdone socially when with her sister.
* The second season finale. Though it's [[BittersweetEnding bittersweet]], the sight of Fleabag's face crumbling when the Priest returns her confession of love, both of them knowing they can't be together, before she gathers herself up and walks away, leaving "us" behind.

* Four in quick succession in the first season finale: Fleabag's breakdown over what happened to Boo, starting to talk with her dad but Godmother stopping it, trying to kill herself and crying that she feels like she's worth nothing if she's not fuckable.
* Claire having a miscarriage in the first episode of the second season.
