** In a flashback, we see Ako wishing her best friend, Kyoko, a happy birthday but her hearts clearly not in it. Ako quickly tells Kyoko that her dog died that morning, it's a very quick scene but will pull on the heartstrings of pet owners.

** Gai's death has additional layer of Fridge TearJerker. While ''Gokaiger'' does reveal the Jetmen and Aya eventually did find out about his death, as shown with his grave, the fact that we still didn't see what happened when they did has to make one wonder, especially the implication that a happy day such as Ryu and Kaori's wedding quickly became a sad day. One can only hope that, when Gai was briefly revived for the Legend War, he was able to briefly tell them what happened as they assembled.

* Episode 21. If the way that Ako's relation with Pooh-Tan is shown, there is the way the Teddy Bear turned Jigenju is treated by society and his death. To add even more, there's a HUGE TakeThat in the episode's ending. One has to wonder how many are annoyed with the ending...

* Ryu having a massive HBoD when Rie briefly regains her memory only for Maria to reemerged and beat up Ryu at the end of the episode. In the next Ryu is so traumatized that he lives in a fantasy world where he sees Rie swinging next to him in a set. It's so bad that Gai tries to drag Ryu off the swings and Ryu looks so sad and lost that even Gai feels bad. Gai switches to compassion and tells him he hopes he can recover soon since he's waiting for him.

* The whole fate of G2 is a jmassive TearJerker: Rejected by Tranza for being inadequate, ([[FridgeLogic although being a robot he could have been easily perfected]]), he was given to the Mooks to be effectively tortured. That he made [[NightmareFuel childlike screams]] didn't make it better. After he succeeds in fleeing, the wounded G2 is helped by Gray only to be rejected again. He tries to help Maria and Gray only to die alone and unmourned. The Jetmen don't even know of his existence. It is impossible to not feel depressed after watching that.
* The deaths of [[spoiler:Rie]], and later, [[spoiler:Gai]].
