* During his second visit, Jack glances over at Alex's bedroom where she is sleeping. It's then that it hits you that he will never get to have sex again (as his dialogue implies he’s sadly never had it with the girl he ''wanted'' to), which his friend just enjoyed.

** Even sadder is the sheer tragedy of it all. As David’s cries clearly show, he is scared of what is happening to him.

* Harry and Judith were just a happy, goofy loving couple (who were engaged, no less) who made the fateful decision to go around the back of their apartment building to spook Harry’s roommate, only to end up walking right into the werewolf’s path.
* A trio of homeless men, already down on their luck by virtue of their standing in life, nonetheless seem to be good friends surviving together with a beloved dog. Then they’re alerted to the approaching werewolf by said dog who whimpers and retreats, and the men soon end up David’s next victims. They’re not seen with their dog in the theater, implying the poor animal lost its owners and is now all alone - provided it didn’t also get killed.

* It’s rather sad that David is regarded so harshly by the ghosts of his victims (excluding the couple who are actually rather pleasant). It’s understandable that they’re angry at having been killed, but they never show any kind of sympathy for David’s plight; he didn’t choose any of what happened to him. He had no control over what he’d do as a werewolf and he initially believed that he was simply going crazy and no such transformation would occur; if he genuinely believed he’d become a monster, he likely would have taken his own life before hurting others. He’s in a terrible situation that he had no control over and it would be nice for someone to express some compassion for him, but sadly that’s in short supply. Besides the couple, Jack is the most sympathetic and provides a little comfort, but even he allows the victims to meet with David to give a tough love treatment to convince him what must be done.

* The one glimpse David get of the ''original'' werewolf's human form, after the Slaughtered Lamb patrons shoot the creature dead. Wounded and near to passing out, David turns his head and sees a naked man, bloodied and dead. The guy is ''older'', maybe in his sixties. How many years did ''he'' suffer from the curse? Presumably he had loved ones, else the locals would've killed him long ago. And now they've had to do so anyway.

** Even sadder is the sheer tragedy of it all. As David’s cries clearly show, he is scared of what is happening to him. * During the nightmare scene, David dreams his family is slaughtered by Nazi zombies. It's pretty horrific on its own, but considering that David is Jewish and was probably born only a generation or two after the Holocaust, the zombies being Nazis makes the whole scene even sadder. The concept of watching your family's peaceful afternoon get destroyed and them getting brutally massacred is heartwrenching, too, especially the kids who were just watching ''Series/TheMuppetShow''.
