!!First series
* Episode 7 is a Manga/SazaeSan and a Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar tribute. Ruby coming out of the pumpkin comically is reminiscent of the same scene in the Anime's Opening while Hattori himself is considered a Kenshiro Expy.
* In episode 8, a background character is drawn similarly to Amuro Ray and when his girlfriend slaps him, he says "Not even my father hit me!"
* Ruby is downing a costume similar to Marie Antoinette in episode 15.
* One of the Imagine Spots in episode 44 screams Series/Ultraman all over.
** And another features Rinko as Luke Skywalker and Dian as Darth Vader.

!!Twinkle
* In episode 6, everyone is trapped in a boat in the middle of the ocean with a shark chasing after them, complete with a homage to JohnWilliams famous music piece.
* There are tons of shout outs from VisualNovel/NanatsuiroDrops, because this series is written by the same person who wrote the anime adaptation of the series.
* The name of Miria's mother, Celine Bright, is likely a shout out to Music/CelineDion.
* In episode 28, Miria loses a singing contest to a singer named Susanne Foil. Some dubs make this even more transparent by flat-out calling her Susan Boyle.

!!Sunshine
* In episode 1-B, Kanon, Kaede and Komachi wear the same outfits as the Kisugi sisters from Manga/CatsEye.
* The race in episode 5-A is overall evocative of Manga/InitialD, complete with drifting and ConspicuousCGI.
* In episode 7, after the prison explodes, the song "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" by can be heard. The walk Kanon, Jill and Shouko do after getting out of the burning prison is reminiscent of .
* In episode 16-B, a timer appears on the bottom right of the screen, referencing Series/TwentyFour. Also, the music that plays when Ruby and her friends are being chased by a boulder is a spoof of Franchise/IndianaJoness theme.
** The Franchise/IndianaJones reference was re-used in episode 19.
* In episode 25, several Jewelpets cross the road while Music/TheBeatles' "A Hard Day's Night" plays.
** Towards the end of the same episode, a montage of Garnet working her many jobs, attending a dance audition and being approved by the judges is a clear spoof of Film/Flashdance; her dance is an almost perfect recreation of Jennifer Beals' during the title song.
* In episode 29-A, the way Shouko and Waniyama's fight is staged makes it seem like a Manga/SaintSeiya homage.
* European dubs pulled one with the title of episode 30-A: "All The Teacher Iruka's Men"the Japanese title is "Look Behind You", a reference to Film/AllThePresidentsMen.
* The M-Kage arc borrows very heavily from Franchise/Batman, from M-Kage's costume to Nyangelina's role. The town it's set in is drawn in an obviously American comic book style.
* In episode 33-A, Kanon "burns out" like in Joe's iconic death scene from Manga/AshitaNoJoe.
* Episode 34 is about the Plum class making a musical similar to Theatre/WestSideStory. Additionally, in one scene, Ruby and co. come out in French Revolution-style clothing, with Ruby looking like Oscar from Manga/RoseOfVersailles. Jasper also comes out of nowhere dressed more-or-less like ComicBook/SpiderMan and shooting web out of his paws.
* In episode 37, "Gonna Fly Now" plays when Ruby and Opal try to settle their dispute through boxing.
* The second half of episode 38 is a parody of this sketch from an 80's Japanese variety show called Oretachi Hyokin zoku.
* An in-series shout out occurs in episode 42 when Shouko's team, named "Sunshine", is next to a team named "Tinkle".
* Sapphie's rocket in episode 47 13}} is number thirteen and breaks down in space. Sapphie's episodes also seem to have a lot of Film/TwoThousandOneASpaceOdyssey references, particularly in the field of music.
* How both Garnet and Sapphie are defeated in episode 50 is nearly identical to how Kakyoin is killed in the Stardust Crusaders arc of Manga/JoJosBizarreAdventure.
* During Labra and Master's battle scene in episode 50, Labra performs an attack similar to Kenshiro's "Hokuto Hyakuretsu Ken" from Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar. The opening theme from the anime is played just to drive the reference home.
* The scenes in the mock preview of the final episode are references to Anime/MacrossFrontier and Anime/MobileSuitGundam.

!!Kira Deco
* In episode 19, there's a shout out to ImageBoards memes, of all things.
* In episode 20, a parody of the Series/MissionImpossible theme plays when Blue Knight orders Garnet's guard force to attention. Garnet reveals that she has a beauty mask similar to Jason Voorhees'.
* A parody of "Gonna Fly Now" plays in episode 22, when Ruby and Retsu are running around being HotBlooded.
* In episode 24, Coal goes by the alias Coalupin in order to perpetrate a robbery.
* In episode 25, there is an homage to Music/MichaelJackson's "Thriller" video, featuring Ruby and the zombified sardines copying the dance moves. A bit from the song plays in the broadcast version, but not in the home video one.
* In episode 35, Dian takes out his cards and says "Let's jewel". Might be just a subs joke.
* In episode 39, Manga/Btooom-stones; the subs-exclusive name given to the explosive stone that Ruby unknowingly threw at King's house.

!!Happiness
* Happiness references a lot of things from the previous series, primarily in episode 3, where the Angela Cycle makes a return on one scene.
* In episode 9, one particular scene during the beginning has a shout out to the Alinamin V Energy Drink. All it needs now is some Creator/ArnoldSchwarzenegger cameo.
* Luna pulled a Anime/HeidiGirlOfTheAlps reference in episode 15 after casting her Jewel Magic to tame the goats down.
* Episode 19 pulled a Gunpla reference. A model kit seen in Jasper's room resembles that of the Sazabi.
* In TheStinger of episode 31, Sapphie comes out of the TV screen in the style of Literature/TheRing.
* In episode 34, Lapis sits in the iconic chair from the erotic series of movies Emmanuelle, popular in Japan. ParentalBonus out the wazoo.
** There's another scene where Angela is dressed like a ghostbuster.
* In episode 42, one of the athletes is WesternAnimation/JohnnyBravo with pink hair, and he makes similar painful sounds when hit.
* The end of the series seems to be taken directly from the first season's since they both involve an outdoor feast.

Nope. That episode predated Gintama 252 by months. If anything, it was Gintama shouting out to Jewelpet.

* There's a bit of a shout out in the second half of episode 38. This is similar to the anime's 252nd episode and ended in the same way.
